Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

Ahh Wilgefortis… The mere sound of her name echoes through The Bearded Man’s heart, puncturing its wall with each bounce like a tiny spastic dagger. What a woman… She was stunning. And betrothed by her piggish father, to a brutish pagan king. Out of options, she prayed to become ugly. Not long after, she sprouted the fullest beard a woman had ever borne in recorded history so far. Little did she know, that her plan would backfire. The Bearded Man chanced upon her, plucking Alphabet’s enduring melody on his dulcimer. He declared her to be the most beautiful creature he had ever seen — beard and all — and instantly fell in love. Sadly, it was not meant to be. Her father, angry over the beard thing, had her crucified, shredding The Bearded Man’s heart like one of Jimi Hendrix’s all-time greatest solos. But hey, it was the 14th century, and times were tough back then to say the least. The Bearded Man is glad he’s not in that era Anymore.

Right in time for the new season on our favourite island, the white island Ibiza that is, we proudly present you the second volume of the “Cala Bassa Beach Club” compilation. 
The relaxation paradise is located in the correspondent bay on the beautiful Balearic Island. A beautiful sandy beach, crystal clear waters, 2 beach bars, 3 restaurants, a snack bar, VIP area with exceptional service, shimmering sea views and blissful Balearic sounds make a visit at Calla Bassa Beach Club unforgettable. The double cd compilation “Cala Bassa Beach Club Vol.2” was selected and mixed by the Ibiza institution DJ Zappi, who is since decades a pioneer of the Balearic beach sound and music genius of the Cala Bassa Beach.
On CD 1 DJ Zappi drops tunes and remixes by artists like Nikolas Noam, Abstract Source, Nhan Solo, Monkey Safari, Betoko, Mollono.Bass & Friends, Robert Needs Oil, N'to and many others. You can feel and hear that Zappi knows the handcraft of deejaying since the early days. The music rubs your soul and senses, you can just relax or dance, it is totally up to you and your mood. CD2 keeps the blissful deepness and features tracks and remixes by the talents of Booka Shade feat. Fritz Helder, Maya Jane Coles, Sebo K, Yves Larock, Simone Vitullo, X-Press 2, Hot Since 82 & Habischman and many others. The Claptone remix of Romanthony´s “Floorpiece” is on this silver disk, as well as Ejeca with “Alone”, Leftwing & Kody´s “Let’s Go” and the Fred Everything Remix of Kruse & Nuernberg´s “People Like Us”. Balearic pleasure sounds at their best!

Nicolas Massayeff gets to grips with Jaap Ligthart & Alice Rose, Davi tackles Marc Marzenit, Darin Epsilon & CID Inc take on Robert Babicz, Conecte breathe new life into Dimitri Nakov & B-Vision and finally Chris Fortier gets busy on himself. So to speak ;-)

After a whirlwind 2019, which saw Eric Luttrell release his acclaimed debut solo album ‘Into Clouds’ on Anjunadeep, the prolific San Francisco native makes a swift return to the UK imprint with his second LP ‘Lucky Ones’. Kicking off this spring, Eric embarks on his most extensive headline tour to date, with 23 North American shows revealed so far, which includes a performance at the iconic Coachella festival, with more to be announced.
 
First breaking into electronic music as part of the OWSLA-affiliated trio The M Machine, Eric launched his solo project in 2016 with the widely supported ‘Need You’ EP, while Anjunadeep catalog favorites ‘Generate’ EP and Annie Mac’s Hottest Record In The World ‘Intergalactic Plastic’ followed in quick succession. Now with his highly-praised debut album under his belt, which reached #2 on iTunes Dance Album charts in USA and Canada and #8 in the Official UK Dance Album Charts, Luttrell’s unique brand of quirky melodic house and techno has cemented his name as one of the scenes most hotly tipped talents; opening doors to working with Moby, Tycho, Jai Wolf, and Blossoms all of whom commissioned remixes from Eric.
 
Whereas ‘Into Clouds’ examined the transitional periods of life, and was reflective of Eric’s mindset at the time of recording, ‘Lucky Ones’ is a celebration. Anchored in themes of gratitude, the LP is a collection of 11 meticulously crafted cuts which see him draw from a deep pool of personal influences, including the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana and The Prodigy, his love for San Francisco and Burning Man, time spent as a student in Berlin, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro,  and even winning the US TV game show, The Price Is Right.
