Admittedly, it's not the best thing I made. But, I made a commitment to finish a song every month. Month 1 was "one day you will no longer be loved". Month 2 is currently out for demo right now. This here's month 3. I was really getting into Keinemusik and afro house, but I don't think I quite understand it, yet. How to really make it. Anyway, because it's not up there with something I'd want to really send out, but want to have accountability, here's September's track for the month.

Where I live in British Columbia Canada, there's not much sun for most of the year. So when summer does come along, everyone drops whatever they were doing and heads outdoors. Each year I set aside some music to play in the sunny summer months. Regardless of the genre, there's always been healing summer music with a fuzzy bassline, tropical noises and tribal percussion that makes me feel warm and a little bit lazy. Music for a daytime festival, dancing at the beach or a pool party.

Last August I had a gig booked at Odd Society Spirits in Vancouver BC with my old friend Elio Agvaz. I was really excited to play with him, unfortunately it was one of the two gigs this summer I had to cancel due to getting Covid. At that point I was not going anywhere, other than back to bed! To make up for missing the gig, I thought I would share some of the new music I was thinking about playing that day. While you listen, try to imagine summers on the west coast of North America with the Pacific Ocean at your feet.

Dance to the Rhythm of Love - (Miss Min.D Remix) Homero Espinosa

Starting at age 4, Russell Paac started learning music. Studying classical piano, he knew very little about electronic music. It wasn't until he was 15 that he started listening and enjoying EDM. From influences like BT and Hybrid, he started off in break beats. Further venturing into the scene landed him to influences of Delerium and Zero 7 leading to writing downtempo and chillout. 

However, when he found Above & Beyond, the love of trance and progressive house set in. Under the Siraph name, he's put down multiple remixes and original tracks. The multitude of artists he's loved in the past are influential in his style today, making mainly organic and melodic house. His Coffee House DJ sets are a study into music he's been gathering influences from. Check out them here, on Youtube, or Twitch!
