ASIP - It's About Time (From the vinyl vaults / 2007 )

Jon Donson is back on Sirion! After kicking off in 2010, and six other publications in the following years, he can also be found on labels such as Lucidflow, Fenou, Clap Your Hands and Deep Department. 
On countless club appearances he has thrilled the audience with his distinctive tracks. These are characterized by massive kick drums, very deep bass frequencies and very reduced character, which doesn’t  hold back the danceability and the groove. Not too long ago Jon Donson is now also live on stage with his solo project. It convinces with a homogeneous appearance and the existing but varied vertices allowing a deep dive during the set as a listener.
On the "Source of Love" EP Jon Donson presents his most current works. In principle, all three of his songs are club-compatible structure. "Source of Love", is the bouncing up-beat groove, "Al Capone" of beat-oriented banger with soulful vocal and "Lens" completes with the funky distorted lead bass line.
Two of his musical favorites were gained as remixers for this EP. Firstly Canson from Zurich, who is known for his playful melodic songs. With releases mainly on Katermukke, Ursl, Bar25 and Cityfox he has established himself with his continuous progressive creation. As can be experienced on the "Source of Love" remix in marvelous Canson style.

And the other is DoubtingThomas, originally from the South of France, and a rather reclusive person. With reduced and dark accents his interpretation of "Al Capone" fits perfectly into the overall picture of this Jon Donson project.

dreamy, glinting Electronica with Mila’s biting edge. Their collaboration emerges darkly
anthemic, with powerful, compact drum structures and pitch-bent salvos of incandescent
synths that cut through the rolling gloom like blinding rays of light across a darkening sky.

MiZi TaPeS 001 brings together five unique aesthetics to deliver four iterations of the sounds closest to our hearts with some of the people we most admire. Join us as we embark to shine a light on the sounds we love, no matter how big or small.

Hard to believe how time flies – it's been exactly 6 years, 4 months, and 19 days since we released our very first compilation. Back then, everything was new and we had no idea where the journey would take us. Over the years, downtempo has evolved significantly and continuously reinvented itself.

Today, we're releasing our tenth and - for now - final compilation. From the beginning, it was important to us to provide a platform for new and emerging artists – and up until this tenth compilation, we’re proud to say that no artist appeared more than once. For this special occasion, we're breaking with that tradition and have invited several long-time companions to join us in shaping this moment.

A big thank you to all the artists for their contributions, and to all our listeners for your continued support. Special thanks also go to Kilian Van de Water, whose unique style has always played a key role in creating the overall identity of our label.

Sirion Records is a Swiss music label based in Berne and Zurich, founded in 2004.
To start with Sirion primarily and continuously created DJ mixes and presented them on local radio stations as well as on international internet radio stations to the greater music community. Among others, their program "The Trip" on the American online radio "Frisky Radio" (www.friskyradio.com), which has been aired monthly well over a hundred times. 
In the hometown of Berne Sirion has been regularly organizing parties since 2004, where congenials come together to celebrate music. 

The focus has been increasingly aimed on the ultimate goal: publishing music on the label Sirion Records. Since Spring 2007, numerous digital releases have found their way into the electronic music world. Sirion can list wide interest and a benevolent recognition by now. The growing awareness benefits both the label as well as the artists who publish on Sirion. The basic idea of a local platform brings with it the claim to be able to provide a strong base. Promoting local artists and connecting them with internationally renowned artists, always leads to exciting projects.

Since Fall 2009 Sirions publications resp SR020 are partially available as tangible records. Despite the hard times for the industry, the risky step was taken and music got pressed on vinyl. Expressing the love for the vinyl record and as appreciation of emerging music.
With the project of SR030 Kellerkind "Disco On The Dancefloor" in the spring of 2012, the first complete album including CD and video production was published. This project is without question an important milestone in the history of Sirion because there has never been a more intense or more successful one before.

In addition to publications Sirion operates their FM and online radio show "The Trip" and regularly hosts successful party events in the area of  Berne.
Their platform allows local music creators to connect with international musicians, challenges and encourages their creativity and leads all in a lively debate into a marketable product. The publication and marketing of these products has already born many fruits and added to new horizons.
Since the year 2013, a further step in the music industry is done, Sirion Records now also acts as publishing company under the name Noiris publishing.
