AJJA S.F. LEU is an eclectic and multi-talented Swiss artist who channels his creativity through parallel careers as musician/producer/dj, Peak Records label manager, graphic artist and tattoo artist. 

Born in London in 1975, AJJA grew up roaming the planet with his world-renowned family of tattoo-artists and travellers. Wandering across the world and bathed in various artistic scenes, he was provided with a constant creative drive. 

He started playing guitar when he was nine years old, and having been reared in a rock’n’roll and funk atmosphere, he first concentrated on these musical styles. By his mid-teens, he had composed, produced and recorded over one hundred original songs. He performed with a number of live bands in different countries and continued to create music and release rock albums for another decade. During this time, he also picked up the family trade and started tattooing alongside his parents and older brother Filip Leu. 

At the end of the nineties, his interest gradually shifted towards electronic music, causing him to explore new digital horizons. In 2002, AJJA and musician friends Master Margherita, Dymons and Flooting Grooves created The Peaking Goddess Collective, a chill & psytrance band that fuses live instruments and digital technology. After performing in many parties and festivals and releasing tracks on many compilations, their debut album “Organika” was released on Peak Records in August 2007. 

In the summer of 2003, AJJA, in collaboration with his partner, visual artist Tanina Munchkina and musicians Dj Gaspard and Master Margherita, founded the psychedelic trance label Peak Records. In only four years, the label has gained respect and a solid reputation in the psytrance scene, releasing many quality night-time and chill albums and compilations. The same year saw the birth of Yab Yum, the fully digital project shared by AJJA and Dj Gaspard. They have since released numerous tracks on world-renowned labels, and their debut album “Nocturnal Emissions”, released on Peak Records in December 2006, has been widely praised in the international psytrance scene. They have performed with growing success worldwide from Japan to the United States. 

In 2005, AJJA started a solo project under his own name. This digital live-act is primarily 144bpm-based, focusing on groovy, non-cheesy, psychedelic trance that could be played in the morning or in the middle of the night. Since then, AJJA has performed in numerous parties and festivals including the Soulclipse, Life, Gaian Mind, Wickerman, World People, Forgotten Ritual and Waveform Project festivals. His much appreciated live sets have already rocked & grooved dancefloors in Japan, The United States, Canada, Switzerland, France, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland and Turkey. In the coming months, AJJA will be performing both his new material and with Yab Yum in parties around the planet, including the famous Universo Paralello in Brazil. A mini-tour in Japan is planned for spring 2008. 

In 2007, AJJA released his first solo night-time track on Moonloop Records. This fall, he will have two more releases on the upcoming Peak Records compilation “Peak-a-Doodle-Doo” and on Northern Psylights Records. His debut album “PSYCHOGENICA” will be released in November 2007, on the newborn Irish label Syncronize Records. Not satisfied with so much activity, Ajja also composes music for theater plays, designs Peak Records covers with his partner Tanina Munchkina, and works as a tattoo artist in his family’s shop in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Containing nearly all the tracks played throughout my 2016 season in Asia, the outcome of my latest freestyle session is like rocket fuel mixed with high grade Acid. It took me a while to record this new mix, but here it is. It was inspired by underground gatherings in the Malaysian jungle, Chinese meadows, the floating villages and bamboo forests of Thailand as well as clandestine clubs in Japan.

The outcome is a far different style than what I play in Europe: it pays respect to the intoxicating, overwhelming vibe of the East.  No breaks. Not suitable for a lazy Sunday. Definitely suitable for your own private stomp, after which you will probably need a shower... :) Have an exceptional mind-bending journey through this psychedelic jungle experience!  Enjoy and Boom Shankar! xxx

Kostas Daikos is the person behind the Greek project E-Mov.
His interest in electronic music production started during his student years which he spent mostly in the UK. With the experience he already had from many years of musical studies and as a performing guitar player in various bands, he started composing various styles from lounge to drum’n’bass, over ambient to psychedelic. In 2003 E-Mov was formed, aiming mostly in creating a blend of psychedelic and progressive music, largely influenced by ethnic and tribal elements. Guitars, male and female vocals and percussions were ingeniously incorporated. Since 2013 E-Mov joined Belgian label Dacru Records.

Dacru Records is a Belgian psytrance label. The label boosts a strong selection of artists, from major names with a 20 year career under the belt to younger promising talents. The rosters includes names like U-Recken, Talamasca, DigiCult, Spirit Architect, Tropical Bleyage, Bitkit, E-Mov, Electric Universe, Aquila, Overdrive, A-Tech, Transient Disorder and more. The aim is to release timeless music with a strong emphasis on the psychedelic and melodic.
Besides being a record label Dacru has also been making a name as event promoter with over 80 events since 2001, that’s a whole of a lot of experience that goes into organizing quality productions. The events have taken place all over Belgium, from The Netherlands to Germany and even in exotic places as Thailand and include big and small indoor events, open air festivals, bus trips, 11 day pop up clubs and more. Some of the party lines include Organic Dreams, Tribal Roots, After Sunrise and Nova’s Incident open air.
