Anastasia is a cult band from Macedonia, best known for writing the score to the Academy-award nominee, Before the

Rain. The band consists of three wizards who master an array of traditional instruments as well as electronic processing modules and keyboards. The result of their confluence are three genre-bending, critically-acclaimed albums. Anastasia have toured all over Europe in the wake of the success of the film Before the Rain written and directed by MIlcho Manchevski. The album Live 1994-2001 is the only testament to their captivating live performance. The band-members have diffused into various projects since their last European tour and we at Ezgia Records have been endowed with the great honor to release this edition via global music outlets.

This album was created in 96kHz/24bit high definition audio. 
The current standard is 44.1kHz and has been around since the late 70's. 96kHz has over double the information in the waveform and thus is a more true representation of the sound. This can be heard, but mostly felt through good quality sound systems. 
Do not purchase this version if you are going to turn it into MP3. MP3 is a poor translation of sound. 
Fortunately FLAC encoding does stay true to 96kHz resolution.
