Smalltalk - Paploviante open collab 💥💥💥

This song is part of a bigger project. I really like making sets like “The Couch King Sofa Barn” and “The Horror Host” but they take a long time to make and I don’t think SoundCloud loves the long song format. A number of us are almost finished with another song in this project. I am excited to hear how the whole thing turns out. Massive thanks to everyone presently involved and all my future collaborators in these crazy visions. I hope everyone is having fun on the cloud. I feel like this can be a very fun time for the SoundCloud community as we have all matured and know ourselves in relation to music better. 

This song got started when another rapper first asked me to collaborate with him. He sent me a beat, but I tend to want to focus on original music from our community so I asked Joerxworx if he wanted to work on a beat with only horns in a New Orleans marching funeral band style. Joerxworx agreed and provided me with massive horns to work with! The other rapper was no longer interested by now in working with me so I asked Jon Lock if he wanted to join in and fortunately he agreed, cause I love his funky soulful vocal stylings! Russell did an amazing job mixing and mastering my sloppy drums and the rest of the track to perfection. I was also very fortunate that Wou-Wou & the Wormling was willing to collaborate on art work for this track, fully completing the spirit of community collaboration!

This track is inspired by flowery psychedelic swirly carpets and wallpaper of the 70s and an incident which happened on November 26 1977 and remains a mystery to this day when someone decided to share their extraterrestrial message with the world interupting the ITN televison news in southern England and calling himself Vrillon from the Ashtar Galactic Command it was early in the evening and a strange buzzing noise interrupted the newscaster Andrew Gardner. Only the audio was affected and the news reader was unaware that Vrillon from the Ashtar Galactic Command had interrupted the broadcast which is in a rough condition to say the least but i did some restoration and decided on a creative mashup from the best bits that are audible to convey the message which i feel is still relavant today in this original tripped out electronic space dub rock hop sci-fi cosmic psychedelic journey! Many thanks to Vrillon for the kewl vocals and inspiration! Peace! :D

My Last Known Location

I make tracks like this by fooling around with the presets given to me by all the korg gadgets i aquired. I paint all the notes and drums into the key grid with my fingers. I need Two days in about 3 -4 hours in all. I never fool around much.. i create a part and then another .. at the end i arrange and mix a bit. So these tracks will never be perfect or are meant to be. Hope you enjoy my art :)

Track shows a very delicate theme and a quite hard-riffed part, both alternating and finally flowing up to an endless symphonic dream (words are half a poem I wrote previously (not these, but lyrics below)).
