The established heavy hitting outfit, Nicepeople, kick things off for 2022 in true style. Dropping early next year is their latest slice of house heaven, the package comes in the shape of three originals from Gourment De Funk, and a nostalgic "Chicago Boogie'' trip with the legendary Roy Davis Jr. Sounds good already, right?

Title track "A Love Supreme" initiates proceedings on the A side, slick percussion teases you into a journey of funk bliss, warm and infectious bass taking you on a cruise, with feel good strings all working in sweet harmony to make this a must have record. On a more driven tip is "The Way You Move" another animated groove experience, and boasts some smooth sax action for the fans amongst us.

Roy Davis Jr’s "Chicago Boogie" remix of "The Way You Move" is an upbeat number for the peak time dance floors out there. The irresistible bass totally takes over your movements, you can not help but to move to a track like this, the veteran producer certainly not letting us down with this one, fitting the ethos of the label, and yet crammed with the signature sound we have all come to adore from Roy over the years. Closing off the EP is the "Never Lost (GDF Morning Dub)" seductive deep house for the early morning dancers. Crisp hi-hats brushing by as you feel yourself swallowed up into the clouds. One for the dreamers.

Nicepeople never seem to take the pedal off the gas, consistently pushing their brand and propelling top shelf house music from an array of inspiring producers of old and new, and they begin next year exactly as they mean to go on.

Our man in London is back on the label! Exactly 1 year after his first release on Dirt Crew and two very successful records on his own new imprint “Income Trax” and the New York based “Razor-N-Tape” label. Clive has been consistently growing his following this past year and refining his sound and production. So now we are truly excited to welcome him back, especially as this release will also be on a limited 12” vinyl.

The opener “Pearls” features the amazingly talented London based musician/ composer Jessica Roch on violin and vocals. It’s an uplifting electronica meets deep house track that shines with positivity and beautiful melodies based on an analogue synth foundation by Clive himself. Truly a new addition to Clive’s musical language.

The A2 track “4 Time” is a swinging groover featuring a lush deep beat topped with piano and strings stabs and consisting of great funk all over. Followed be the super fun “Rough and Tough” as first track on then B side. Clive really gives us his new summer anthem here as far as we are concerned. Dance floor happiness guaranteed and we can’t wait to hear this one in an open field and on a big sound system!

As a treat for all fans, we decided to give “Gravitate” the well-deserved vinyl spot as the closing track to this great new record. This jam got massive support over the last months and is Clive’s best performing track on the digital platforms. Here we remastered it especially for vinyl and it sounds doper than ever! Enjoy!

Inspired by the recent events and faces creeping through the ever-awakening party lair of their hometown, a small bunch of Split native DJ's, producers and promoters has finally arrived to a deciding plot of founding their newborn - an electronic music label. "Sit Down Recordings" should take place in the midst of a highly developed Mediterranean club scene right at its peek, creating space amongst the aggressive tech house impact on the side of another, festively intensive summer swarm gathered and powered around the exclusive, massive electronic music events taking place here the last few years. 

The uprising of the fresh and powerful new scene has eventually risen with the flavours of a less self-contained taste of the founders and with the clear intention to beget a flow of some juicier picks and licks. They be brought to mind by styles and genres of soulful house, tech house with jazzy keyboards and deep pads. And then some... The attempt is observable: to bring forth the atmosphere and prana of Chicago and New York in some more laid - back manner, combining artists, mixtapes and, hopefully, live events, all into the walls of the anciently energised walls and lands and their modern subcultural antipodes.

So be their way, in the right way, cheers!
