ABOUT ME

Adonis Rivera has become one of the relevant dj/producer in Venezuela taking decisive steps and achieving important milestones at his country and the world electronic scene with his latest releases at labels such as Hossh records, Deeperfect and Oblack Label also having a huge support from others important artists in the industry with names like John Digweed, Robert Owens, Steve Lawler, System2 and DJ T. just to name a few. His track “Vinyl Paper” featured in the “Oblack Raw Series” album released on the Oblack Label is his most successful song yet giving him a lot of exposure to big names in the industry and opening a lot of opportunities for him in the 2018.

In previous years Adonis released a couple tracks at Besworx an eclectic label in Egypt, his sound was more deep and progressive this made his productions started to be recognized and became part of several playlists at beatport and other artist’s mixes.

He started humbly in 2012 in a popular neighborhood in Caracas playing at some music lovers bars of the city to show his DJ skills. Since then the young talent has been consistent and made a name on the scene being part of important parties and local events.

In 2018 his sound evolves into a more minimalistic style and made this year the most important for the artist so far highlighting a couple releases at Oblack Label and a remix for the Spanish producer Felipe Cobos, this was just the beginning for Adonis Rivera.

The successes did not wait and he releases “Raw Material EP” in march 2019 on the London label Hossh Records being “Ramdon Future” one of the most important tracks reaching number 2 on the Beatport Minimal top 10 and also becoming part of the March selection of Dj/Producer Damian Lazarus who played this single at Sunwaves 25 Festival on Rumania and other stages around the world. This attracted the attention of other important record labels such as Deeperfect Records the label of Stefano Noferini who proposed to release a couple tracks under this label.

In July of the same year the Deeperfect Label released “One EP” which consolidates and positions Adonis in the global scene due to the Labels relevance this permitted the artist to create important relations with the staff having a couple apparitions at the radios shows of Deeperfect.

But this would not be the only wave of the success that the Venezuelan artist would surf, after some time talking with Damian Lazarus he gets the invitation to become part of Rebellion the sub-label of the Crosstown Rebels family, one of Adonis biggest influence in his career.

Digital & vinyl label

Inspired by the recent events and faces creeping through the ever-awakening party lair of their hometown, a small bunch of Split native DJ's, producers and promoters has finally arrived to a deciding plot of founding their newborn - an electronic music label. "Sit Down Recordings" should take place in the midst of a highly developed Mediterranean club scene right at its peek, creating space amongst the aggressive tech house impact on the side of another, festively intensive summer swarm gathered and powered around the exclusive, massive electronic music events taking place here the last few years. 

The uprising of the fresh and powerful new scene has eventually risen with the flavours of a less self-contained taste of the founders and with the clear intention to beget a flow of some juicier picks and licks. They be brought to mind by styles and genres of soulful house, tech house with jazzy keyboards and deep pads. And then some... The attempt is observable: to bring forth the atmosphere and prana of Chicago and New York in some more laid - back manner, combining artists, mixtapes and, hopefully, live events, all into the walls of the anciently energised walls and lands and their modern subcultural antipodes.

So be their way, in the right way, cheers!

Child of an a shipbuilder, born in the time of cold war; direction Juri Paik took when in the end of 90's made a turning point and went winding way Djinga and production. Electronic music he was making spontaneously was added on punk/new wave childhood, somewhere on prismatically floor Split's night club "Up & Down" at the end of the 90's. Gramophone and mixette slowly replaced the band and the garage. In accord with that period influence on global underground scene, first trophy in listeners/collectionars carrier, Juri Paik founded himself in techno music. On the influence of those days assistant of Inaf's, he explored music production and out of his expectations he ejects vinil on promo/white label, extremely influential Missile Records from London. He is still working on production and he is one loop in Decoded Records chain where he notes couple of releases. Eliminates hiperproduction and quietly experiments in pursuits for basses wich will be incredible fashionable. As a beggining, sound of Juri Paik's sets expanded from Intec's, Terminal M's and Primate's, all to variety capilars techno and house music. From the day we entered in "digital period", he admits he values the most the german scene; because of the precisely production and also because superior visual identification under strong influence from Berlin, and in sets he promotes organic notes in at first non-emotional hypnotized modern age sound. With experience he got the chance to take over gramophones in Dubrovnik, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Zagreb and most of dalmatians night clubs and underground club evenings in the last 10 years. He is also an all time dj at fashion shows in Split.
