‘Wholeness’ was a 90-Day program conducted by Sadhguru in 1994, with a small band of seekers. Many years later, with the Isha Yoga Center more established, ‘Wholeness’ became the name of a 7-Day introductory program, also conducted by Sadhguru.

One of our early attempts at instrumental music, this song, ‘Wholeness’, was intended as an ambience to start the program on the first day – a way for the participants to settle into Sadhguru’s presence and be open to the process.The name ‘Wholeness’ has managed to stick all these years, thanks to the program, but the music has undergone various transformations and permutations. We have also been fortunate to have several professional artists come and contribute their expertise, enhancing the overall musicality of the piece. Here is the latest rendering – a live recording in the presence of Sadhguru.

Wholeness

A live recording of the Nada Aradhana - an offering of sound - performed at the Dhyanalinga as part of the Consecration Day celebrations.

Nada in Sanskrit means “sound” and Aradhana signifies “devotional offering”. Nada Aradhana is an intuitive synthesis of vocals and instruments performed twice daily in the Dhyanalinga at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore.

An enchanting mix of singing bowls and assorted natural musical instruments in conjunction with voices, Nada Aradhana is a live offering that enables listeners to slip effortlessly into a receptive mode, making them available to the energies and Grace of the Dhyanalinga, and allowing them to experience deep states of meditation.

Nada Aradhana - Flute Raas

"Down To The River To Pray" is a traditional American folk hymn of uncertain origin. While likely sung by slaves planning escape on the Underground Railway, which often included passage through rivers and "starry" navigation, the roots of the melody may have come from a Native American tribal song. Our simple rendition attempts to capture the hymn's powerful spirit and emotion, which has inspired generations of listeners.

Sometimes I sport the formless,
There is none but I  
Frolicking within myself.     
 
Kabir says, O wanderer,
All desire gone,
I dance within my own hut --
Spontaneous reveler

Of my own freedom.
