The Wax Wreckaz are a DJ-/production-outfit hailing from Austria, Innsbruck to be exact. A small city surrounded by mountains, green meadows filled with cows in summer and loads of snow and thousands of ski-tourists in winter. The crew consists of Busy Fingaz, Juwee, Fu and Sensay.

Four music lovers that although growing up with different social backgrounds - ranging from punk rock-loving-skateboard-kid to being a conductor's offspring with classical music education - finally met in the year 1999 in a graphic design school and the rest is history.

Every time the whole crew works on music together, you can definitely feel that all the influences become one - classic New York mid 90s rap and turntablism to UK bass music, reggae and beyond! After their latest release longside the rising reggae star Etzia from Sweden - which gained support by acts like So Shifty, Jugglerz, Bert on Beats, Urban Knights, Rebel Sonix, Mash Up International or the Smalltown DJs and airplay on radio stations from Trinidad Tobago to Russia - they are back with their first release on Jeffree's.

This time they hooked up with European dancehall-ruler Million Stylez and laced another bass heavy Reggae-Electronica hybrid. Million Stylez laid down an anthem for all the weed lovers worldwide, switching from toasting to singing and back, with his trademark style and voice all over the place. Playing with different genres is natural to the Wax Wreckaz - whether it's in their DJ-Sets or productions. And so it's obvious that the result has a unique sound to it, including influences from different genres like house, bass, hip-hop and of course dancehall and reggae.

NEW on the full EP is a Radio Edit of "High Grade feat. Million Stylez," two remixes by members of the Wax Wreckaz family and a delicious riddim!

Este tema primero surgió en el 2006 dentro de la Iglesia abandonada / ensayadero del Festicumex de Eindhoven, una impagable invitación de Dick el Demasiado. Lo tocamos con Los Ecuador Everywer, una banda de cumbia rebajada en vivo (Garza, Negro Antíco, Diego Seoane, Mario Galeano). Luego en el 2009 hizo parte de los temas que grabamos en Bogotá durante la visita de Mad Professor, sin embargo nunca fue editada. Esta versión fue Dubeada en vivo por Mario Galeano en el 2012, para seguir con la regla de 3 años.

This tune first came up in 2006 during the rehearsals at the Festicumex in Eindhoven, an amazing experience provided by Dick el Demasiado. We played it that time with a band called Los Ecuador Everywer, a live Cumbia rebajada 4 piece band. Then In 2009 it was part of the songs we recorded for the project with Mad Professor in Bogotá, however it wasnt edited at the time. 3 years later in 2012 Mario Galeano made a live dub out of those recordings.

Martin Jondo, half German (father) and half Korean (mother), was born 1979 in Berlin. In the mid 90’s Martin got in contact with the belief of Rastafar thereon he adapted the cult of reggae singing as well. Now with his new belief he was seeking his past through the nature, with guitar in his case and his new religion he created his first songs.

Après leur première release, Underground Dubwise sortie en mai 2011, Mahom est de retour avec Dub by Sub, accessible en libre téléchargement chez Original Dub Gathering. Cet opus, résolument stepper, navigue entre dub français et dub UK. Fidèle à ses convictions, il invite à un voyage musical avec pour destination la protection de l’environnement !

Le travail de Mahom est riche des rencontres faites sur la route et quatre des neuf morceaux de la release sont donc naturellement des featurings.

Enrichie d’un mélodica, leur riddim Faso Feu qui fait le tour des soundsystems (Bamba - Daba Makourejah), est remixé dans une version « maison »: FasoDub !

Sur Lettre à la Planète, interlude directement inspirée et adressée à notre Mère Nature, Fedayi Pacha et son duduk donnent au riddim une dimension mystique.

Cyril (Tetra Hydro K) avec lequel ils ont partagé un bout de chemin lors du festival Subsonic en Roumanie, s’est laissé aller avec son mélodica inspiré sur le méditatif Rêve du chat.

Enfin, Mayd Hubb nous fait le plaisir de s’approprier le titre Tu me fais dubber la tête pour un remix explosif !

Cinq escales riches en surprises complètent l’album. Vous plongerez dans l’ambiance sombre de Fukushima. Tu me fais dubber la tête vous entraînera dans une trance enivrante. Another day vous tiendra en haleine tandis que Résistances vous entrainera dans une lutte infernale. Enfin, vous découvrirez la vision de Mahom du « warrior » stepper dans Woodpecker.

Dub maker Lyonnais influencé par les scènes dub françaises et Anglaises, Panda Dub a su se créer un style très personnel. Le reggae roots, le stepper anglais et l’électro dub à la française nourrissent ses compositions qui ont toutes les caractéristiques de celles dont les sound system à l’anglaise raffolent. Le son du Panda est issu d’un savant mélange de samples ethno, de mélodies electro fraîches et percutantes, de textures envoûtantes et de rythmiques lourdes. Panda Dub fait sans conteste partie des artistes qui prouvent que le Dub français est plein de ressources et de bonnes surprises. En 2011, le Panda vous propose un live machine Dub Steppa Electro massif, abordable et qu’il peut adapter à toutes les situations. 

2. PANDA DUB - Black and White

Créé par deux frères, ODG est né à Tours en France en 2004. Puisant directement son inspiration dans le “french-dub” des années 90, le projet se fait connaître peu à peu par ses E.p disponibles en libre téléchargemet sur son propre net label Original Dub Gathering (www.odgprod.com) qui comporte de nos jours plus de 40 références en libre partage. Depuis 2007 le duo est devenu trio, permettant au groupe de dévoiler une réelle fusion de styles, un live à la fois électronique et instrumental fondé d’une part sur le “dub sound system” à l’anglaise, et d’autre part sur le style “électro-éthno” français. Après de nombreux concerts aux cotés d’artistes internationalement reconnus comme Horace Andy, Mad Professor, Iration Steppa, Dj Aphrodite, Mungos Hifi… , ODG travaille aux côtés de Biga Ranx sur 6 tracks de son premier album On Time. Fin 2011 le groupe annonce la sortie de son nouveau projet, triptyque épique retraçant les différentes expérimentations musicales du trio, la première partie nommée Bad Side signe une entrée en matière résolument dubstep, un teaser est dors et déjà disponible sur www.odgprod.com.

PUPAJIM & STEPART - "Rainy city blues"

L’association Onsfoudkilao sort son premier projet de disque vinyle, un maxi 45 tours avec des titres de Marina P et du collectif Bhale Bacce Crew, sur des versions instrumentales d’Ondubground et de Dj Monkey Green. L’idée de produire un vinyle est venue naturellement auprès des membres de l’association, ce support étant privilégié lors des soirées  « sound system » au cœur de l’activité de l’association et du crew Bhale Bacce. Le disque a été pressé en édition limitée à 500 copies. Il est disponible directement sur le site de l’association (http://www.onsfoudkilao.com  ) ainsi qu’auprès des bons disquaires spécialisés en France et en Europe. L’ensemble des titres seront disponibles en téléchargement légal lorsque tous les exemplaires du disque seront vendus.
