What a night! Such a pleasure to play for a packed dancefloor during Kater Blau's 56 Hour Nonstop/Sum Over Histories showcase. I'll forever smile when thinking about it. @kater_blau

I was thinking about writing more about this night and was finally inspired when I read @jake-basker's comments on his absolute masterpiece set from Garbicz 2022...

I struggle with posting live sets since they always sound flat or awkward to me later. They never seem to capture the energy and the magic of that feeling everyone shared. That yes yes more more, this is better than sex right now feeling that defies expression and just drives people to dance harder and longer. What a beautiful mystery of this human experience that music can inspire us so intensely...

That night was it the tracks I played? Was it how I played them? Was it the people dancing? Was it all those things together somehow? It was also Kater, the legend, love, and energy behind this place known the world over for cutting edge music. Also the other artists on the bill, and the lucky collection of people who ended up there and vibed together. That night was magical for all of us no matter the reason and this is here to remind us of what we created that night.

Next in line for our guest mix series is Brooklyn, New York based producer Rao. We had the pleasure of meeting him in person during ADE this year and are super happy he joins us for this strong guest mix. With releases on Dévotion NY, Upon You Records, Be Free Recordings and Denis Horvat’s label Vokabularium were very curious to see what he will release in the future. Rao, with past releases on Denis Horvat’s vokabularium label, has made a name for himself on the local New York scene before recently relocating to Berlin. After taking on opening duties for Jeremy at his Brooklyn show at Avant Gardner’s Kings Hall, Rao is now formally making his Vivrant label debut with ‘The Potential of Light’. 

Commune | Volume 2 is released one track at a time exclusively on Spotify starting Friday, March 24th. The full project is released on Beatport and remaining DSPs on April 28th.

Charli XCX - Guess (DJ Daddy Trance Edit)

This is a large portion of my 12 hour set at Stereo Montreal on September 28, 2024, my longest solo set ever. Missing are the first 2 hours, which I cut for better overall flow, as well as the last hour, which was not recorded as my recorder ran out of battery power.

To me, Stereo represents the absolute top of electronic music clubs worldwide. It is one of the few places that gives DJs the canvas to play long sets under near optimal conditions - an amazing sound system, great monitors, beautiful and subtle lighting and - last but not least - a knowledgeable, demanding and unified crowd.

Skarn has loved electronic music ever since he was first introduced to it at a young age. Beginning his dj career in 2007, Skarn started getting his first gigs at Copenhagen clubs while still in high school, and has since gradually made his name known in the city’s underground. Fast forward to present day, Skarn has been a staple in the Copenhagen scene for many years, and you can often find him playing the capital's clubs, as well as abroad for increasingly frequent international bookings.
Most recently, Skarn's debut release 'Sknof', a collaboration with fellow Dane Denis Horvat, came out on Innervisions as part of their Secret Weapons Part 16 VA.
Skarn’s style is not bound to any specific genre - weaving in and out of various musical moods, the common denominator in his sets is a consistent groove and high energy. Among the names Skarn has shared the decks with are John Digweed, Adriatique, Colyn, Konstantin Sibold, Magdalena, Kevin de Vries, Eats Everything, Raxon, and many more.
