Had life only just started? It seemed everything that came before now had started to fade into darkness... Problems that once felt catastrophic no longer mattered; selfish pursuits were no longer on the agenda. It wasn't just them anymore, there was another life to think about other than their own. Everything had been flipped on its head and, though scary and unknown, they were ready to dive in headfirst.

Italian DJ and producer Fango launched his E Dee series last June dedicated to a life-changing event that had taken place a few years prior: the birth of his first child Carlo. Each release explores the world his son sees but communicated through Fango's own eyes (and ears). Now on volume two, and with Peruvian imprint Degustibus on board this time, he shares three cosmic, driving grooves that take their titles from Carlo's own vocabulary, while the artwork uses Carlo's mouth as the image for the centre sticker and his own drawing for the inner sleeve. Another chapter in a very personal and beautiful ode to becoming a parent.

This is a dirty, sexy italo collaboration with the androgynous, danish synth pop/italo disco singer/songwriter Lucca Leeloo and the hardcore, dramaqueen italo/acid house duo Hard Ton. The original version is produced by the italo disco/electronic music pioneers Fred Ventura and Paolo Gozzetti from Italoconnection.   

The remix is included on the new remix album “Prosperous (The Remixes)” which will be released digitally and on vinyl via Bordello A Parigi July 7.

The first Afro Acid release by Italian duo we.amps, Path is anything but a shy introduction to the artists’ sound.

“Acid Path (Original Mix)” begins with a striking vocal refrain and boomy kick, followed by a series of thunderous synth stabs and a moody rumbling undercurrent that does not come up for air as the track builds toward a stunning soulful breakdown, transforming this hard-hitting acid heater into an instant classic guaranteed to catalyze countless dance floors post-release on October 5th.

A nefarious synth refrain distinguishes the otherwise standard intro of “Atomic Path (Original Mix)”, the second track on Path. Similar to Acid Path, Atomic Path utilizes the breakdown to transform the track into something new - this time a playful departure into the world of the ambient synth, a dreamy interlude not commonly found in a dark and bass-heavy tech-house track - but then, “common” is not really what Afro Acid is known for.

Bård Aasen Lødemel, aka Skatebård, got into techno and rave during the '90s before he became a producer of retro-futuristic disco, house, and techno. 
Hailing from a town called Ørsta on the Norwegian west coast, Lødemel moved to Bergen in the year 2000, where he quickly became part of the town's growing club scene. 
After handing over a homemade demo to Tellé Records label boss Mikal Telle, Lødemel was signed to offshoot label Tellektro in 2001. 
His first release under the name of Skatebård, a concise vinyl-only album called Skateboarding Was a Crime (In 1989), was released in 2002, and slowly but surely Skatebård's reputation started spreading beyond Norway's borders. 
Throughout his impressive career of releasing five albums and more than twenty 12-inches, he has steadily carved out his own corner of dance music with a unique flair. Traversing a range of seemingly disparate genres and emotions comes incredibly naturally to the Norwegian artist, whose music oscillates between Italo disco and raw Detroit infused house and techno. With an enviably eclectic collection of the mastery to navigate it seamlessly, Skatebård’s DJ sets offer exploratory excursions through the unknown and unexpected. From festival mainstages to intimate clubnights, Boiler Rooms and radio shows, Skatebård has captivated audiences across the globe, performing at many of electronic music’s most revered institutions.
The dynamic scope of Skatebård’s artistry extends to his work in the studio. Spanning over two decades, his impressive discography is dispersed across labels including his own Digitalo Enterprises, Sex Tags Mania and Bordello A Parigi. With a knack for balancing kitsch with elegance, Skatebård creates music that exudes an air of nonchalant fun.
