THE HOUSE OF DAVID GANG is a Toronto-based reggae collective that delivers late 70s and early 80s style Jamaican reggae classics . Formed in Toronto over 15 years ago, the band is fronted by seasoned reggae veteran King Selah and whose members have included members of Resinators, Irie Band, Explorer Band, Revelation, Selassie I Power and many others. The House of David Gang got it's name from a House that a group of like minded Toronto Reggae Musicians lived in and who held after-hour reggae parties for several years which developed the musicians into some of Toronto's Top session players. For the past 15 years King Selah and the House of David Gang have hosted the Toronto Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer Tributes which have helped bring light to Toronto's burgeoning roots rock reggae scene. Now with a new line-up - The House of David Gang faithfully recreates the Bob Marley Sound - which includes 2 guitarists, 2 keyboardists and a strong rhythm section of Jah-Lin (drums) and Uncledropsi (bass).

Axwell’s progressive house anthem ‘Center of the Universe’ has been broken down, reworked and revamped into an even grander electro-house remix by up and coming Polish DJ/producer Blinders. Officially released on Axtone on the 14th of October, this remix of ‘Center of the Universe' is ready to become a classic.

This remix has ramped everything up into an even more anthemic piece of big room electro-house with harder kicks, uncompromising electro synths, and bigger build-ups, leaving space for the reworked vocals of Swedish singer Magnus Carlsson to ring through.

The new remix was originally a re-edit sent to the label as a demo that is now being released in it’s own right - A clear indication that Axtone do check through their submissions to find genuine talent!

'Center Of The Universe' works on the classic anthemic progressive house sound that Axwell and his label have made their own and was released on Axtone earlier this year - an acclaimed track also used in Carlsberg’s ‘Where’s The Party?' campaign.

In spite of his young age, Mateusz Owsiak, better known as Blinders, has already progressed leaps and bounds in the industry and received support from Dirty South, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas, Sebastien Drums and many more. Blinders initially gained popularity after making a remix for Dirty South and Thomas Gold - “Alive”, which climbed to the top of the Beatport Chart. His musical talent is clear as he already has an eclectic collection of tracks and remixes under his belt - ranging from a Drumstep remix of Katy Perry to an acoustic piano cover of Whitney Houston.

BBP Recordings is thrilled to welcome back our very own funky breaks champ Jayl Funk from Germany. After some groovy releases on Bombastic Jam, Jayl is back on BBP with an uptempo nu funk EP with remixes from Omegaman and Dirty Dubsters. The Jughead EP is another fine example of how Jayl Funk manages to unite tradition nu funk with party oriented dancefloor grooves. Jayl Funk has been one of the most successful artists on the BBP label, since his first EP release called Funky Breaks EP, so we are very proud to have him back to bring y’all another dose of funky vibes!

A.	Jayl Funk kicks off his Jughead E.P with a no nonsense, straight up & down dance floor friendly mix. A way cool breakbeat + funky slap bassline is the order of the day here. Break it down like this!

B.	Omegaman returns the favour of Jayl remix on his Hip Drop EP, which was released previously on BBP Recordings. Omegaman drops in some Pizzicato Disco Strings & Old Skool House Piano Riffs + some huge horn action & a wicked breakbeat to get your asses wiggling & jiggling. A tight funky remix as you would expect it from this talented Aussie nu funk producer.

C.	The Dublin based due Dirty Dubsters deliver the goods with a womping bass monster, crazy dubbed out club mix. It’s all systems go on this mix of madness, so strap in & hang on!  

D.	Jayl Funk returns on the final track of the EP to lay some serious funky breaks on us. Keep On Singin’ leaves it very hard to sit still when it grooves on effortless from start to finish! Wah guitar hooks & a wicked breakbeat set maintain the groove, then throw in some horn grabs and you are done & dusted! This is what nu funk is all about...
