This magical reworking of Bright Light Syndrome's track 'Somewhere Out There' is another step forward for Pitch Twit, who’s output already covers a substantial array of electronic genres. Straight away the atmosphere is set with long slow filtered bass tones, cathedral beeps, reverse guitar loops and vocal snippets. Familiar chopped up beats are slow and spacious this time and yet still somehow energetic. The piece slowly chops its self to a stand still, and out of the ashes grows the ending sequence, which is beautifully euphoric. Here, the filtered bass opens out, burning and growling, the beats grow more powerful, with one-off cathedral beeps crashing in at just the right moment, and the vocal returns, but properly this time, highlighting the vocal talents of Bright Light Syndrome’s vocalist, George Ince (also the original song-writer).
