Christmastime Is Here*

A few years ago in Canada, I had an idea to do a Christmas album. I started, never finished, so this piece and Christmas Time Is Here on my soundcloud page are the only ones completed.

This is my definition of an extravagant musical arrangement. Much thanks to Danielle Jones, Ontario virtuoso classical flutist on this song. It was fun to do this with her, yet her talents are not fully on display here. I just had her record the melody and a few lines, then I built the music around that, playing a wide variety of virtual instruments. So this was mostly a different kind of arrangement, and going for a slightly mysterious feel.

This is different:  a test track for a reharmonization of the famous Beatles tune "Eleanor Rigby" from a few years ago. Never released collaboration with a talented Cincinnati singer, Kirk, who arranged and sang his own harmonies, and myself on piano.
