Sketchman, aka Charles Hazell, has announced the release of The Light as the second single from debut album Nothing Is Enough.

With authentic hip-hop from producer Dusty Cutz, Sketchman delivers urban poetry as he attempts to console and offer some perspective to a heartbroken female.

On Sketchman’s own Uncle Albert Records, The Light is available now for pre-order on iTunes, to be released 1st July - when the honeymoon period for many Christmas couples may be close to expiry.

Sketchman debuted The Light live at YouTube Space London back to rave reviews. Forthcoming live dates include Acoustic Live @ Boxpark, Shoreditch and Sound Movement @ Paradise, Kensal Green (dates TBC).

Previous single Paramount was performed at venues the length of England during summer 2015. It has caught the ears of (among others) London Live TV, who invited Sketchman for his first prime-time television interview, and BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, who described it as “…really great” before playing it in the (BBC) Introducing Mixtape feature.

Previous nationwide support for Sketchman includes the BBC Introducing playlist on Radio 1Xtra. The week-long daytime airplay culminated in a live telephone interview with DJ Target, who referred to Sketchman as “…definitely coming on a musical journey”.

The official music video shot by director Charlotte Regan launches on Vevo Friday 29th April '16, and will premiere with Fortitude Magazine online - kicking off the the release campaign.

South London recording artist Sketchman, aka Charles Hazell, has finally broken hiatus to announce the release of One as part of free download The Drawing Board. It comes alongside the news of turning 30 taking place in the same week as the impending birth of his first-born son.

With producer Dusty Cutz fusing grime and trap sounds in an infectious catchy beat, Sketchman speaks to his core fan base about his return to making music to chase the art, a renewed perspective, along with themes of growing up and leaving behind negativity from his past.

One is available as a free download from the official Sketchman website from 15/10/2016.
