Hypochondriac started off as a verbal vomit verse from a colourful time of my life. Written during a run in with a bus stop, a sword, some extreme morning binge-drinking and consequently the law. 

I then added a 2nd verse to it about half a year later with a different perspective, banged in a chorus and got it recorded.

SKETCHMAN talks rebirth in ONE!

South London recording artist Sketchman, aka Charles Hazell, has finally broken hiatus to announce the release of One as part of free download The Drawing Board. It comes alongside the news of turning 30 taking place in the same week as the impending birth of his first-born son.

With producer Dusty Cutz fusing grime and trap sounds in an infectious catchy beat, Sketchman speaks to his core fan base about his return to making music to chase the art, a renewed perspective, along with themes of growing up and leaving behind negativity from his past.

One is available as a free download from the official Sketchman website from 15/10/2016.

Other nationwide support for Sketchman includes the BBC Introducing playlist on Radio 1Xtra. This culminated in a live telephone interview with DJ Target, who referred to Sketchman as “…definitely coming on a musical journey”. 

Previous single The Light received airplay from BBC Introducing: The South, Itch FM, Westside Radio, Croydon Radio, Shoreditch Radio, DeJaVu FM and Fubar Radio to name but a few. Previous official videos premiered with Fortitude Magazine, received support from LinkupTV, and have many tens of thousands of views to date.

Single Paramount was performed at small venues the length of England. It caught the ears of (among others) London Live TV, who invited Sketchman for his first prime-time television interview, and BBC Radio 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, who described it as “…really great” before playing it in the (BBC) Introducing Mixtape feature.
