THE ORIGIN OF PRESSPLAYK:

My name is Kevis Jerrell and I’m From Joliet, Illinois. Grew up in musically talented family. My grandfather is The Godfather of gospel quartet Thomas White and my Grandmother Alice Elizabeth was a background singer for BB king. The late Aretha Franklin is my cousin. My mother(Marilyn Thurmond) and father (Lonnell Thurmond)are two of the most musically talented people I know. 

THE ELEMENTS OF PRESSPLAYK:

all the love and positive vibes that I learned from the gospel genre is instilled in my music. Although it is R&B I have been able to channel some of the gospel traits in my music especially the quartet a lib and harmonies. As a music producer I pride myself with my ability to integrate the Gospel Quartet elements , 90s RNB , and modern day Trapsoul and HipHop.
