Herman Giebartowski is a multidisciplinary artist and producer working at the intersection of electronic sound design, experimental music, and conceptual performance.

With a formal background in audio production and sound theory from secondary school onwards, Herman began performing under the tag Pyrotechnica in 1995. His live sets are known for blending slow-evolving ambient landscapes with fragmented post-industrial rhythms and spoken word overlays. His work has appeared at independent electronic events, clubs, warehouse shows, and gallery-based listening rooms throughout Melbourne, with international interest via curated playlists.

Giebartowski is a boundary-dissolving artist navigating the liminal spaces between sound, text, and memory. Drawing on a hybrid lineage of Eastern European folklore, post-communist architecture, and algorithmic decay, his work evokes the static hum of lost transmissions and the poetic distortion of time.

His signature “glitch chants” and ambient-noir soundscapes have earned underground acclaim in Melbourne’s electronic scene and Europe’s cassette-based art communities.
