It is with profound sadness, with grief, I announce the passing on of my long-time music collaborator and one of my great friends, Kevin King, at the incredibly young age of 36. 

NEWS! New release of Ashram Garage's latest song, entitled Ranja Manas. Full of Eastern meditative spices.

Ashram Garage are a new St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada instrumental and experimental duo that have been playing together for almost ten years, creating a unique blend of Indian, folk, jazz, psychedelic and jam music. The duo consists of Kevin King on guitars and effects and Jim Slominski on double bass. They have played together for around ten years, playing in a number of bands and playing a wide array of genres including classic rock, alt country, folk, bluegrass, grunge, jazz, jam, and fusion, but it wasn’t until they realized that at the core of all the bands they played with that they enjoyed playing together the most and so last year they formed a duo. They have been very busy recording and hanging out in Jim’s garage for close to a year now. They are currently working on their first EP to be released possibly later this year.

SeniorBeatBox is Savino M. i use a mix of hardware and iOS apps; mostly improvised recordings, sometimes on the street or in a park.

Skitzo-Tech was a spoken word/experimental music project based on the writing/poetry of Jim Warring.

Jim Warring and Jeffrey R. Rossetto first met at a dying poetry reading, in some clique-driven art centre in downtown St.Catharines, in 2000. 
The next year the two began recording Jim's spoken word poetry, set to improvised music, with some friends in Jim's apartment. 
The friends left, and by that time Jim had bought his first 4-track recorder, and so began an experiment; Jim and Jeffrey adding the spoken word poetry to musical (and non-musical) ideas that would fit the themes and subjects of Jim's words. 
Over the next five years the casual collaboration soon evolved into a more serious project that became SKITZO-TECH. 

Here are the three SKITZO-TECH albums, in remembrance of Jim, and as a memorial to his creative energy and spirit.
