After what feels like an age of phone-based negotiation and Northern barneys, ASOK finally joins the Lobster fam proper blasting down from the icy territories and bringing the cold winds of UK rave yore to the front of the queue.

Universe 3 is a glistening, glacially slow-moving ambient piece that shimmers and folds through the spectrum, with small sparkles and hints of twinkling optimism peppered into it's spacial framework. The one that nearly got away, Track Four, is a crunchy, scourged techno drum heater that bangs the drum of enchantment whilst raising the spirits of long-long civilisations through spiritual pads and alien synth work.

Title track Virtual Light kicks off the flip. Built around a core of stolid deep house, but drawing on a solid template of NY house and central German deepness (think Joey Anderson meets Christopher Rau). Proper hazy, aquatic vibes into the dark depths.

Lastly, and easily the artist and label fave, I Mean You No Harm arrives as a subtle reminder of the simplicity needed to conjure the heaviest moments. Essentially an enormous hardcore number just minus any form of breaks and stripped to the core. Nagging sirens and pitched wails sound off into the night air. A proper staggered basement weapon this!

Since the beginning Black Loops have been consistently developing their own style. The fact that Riccardo Paffetti - the Black Loops main man - is a drummer explains why their way to program the beats has this special flow. A flow that you can’t find on many other house productions. Also the way they choose and cut the samples brings in a special soulish, nasty vibe. Just listen to the way they cut the vocal samples on „Le Mirage“! How nasty can u be? 

The new EP features 3 unreleased tracks and their last year's hit song „Sex“- wich was released on a Toy Tonics „Jockey Jams“ VA EP and became one of the best selling tracks on Toy Tonics. It reached no.1 on all relevant DJ Portals, has been played by big DJs from all kind of scenes. The track even made it into the Top 30 of best selling track of Beatport in 2016.

The new EP includes the original track and also a even more dancefloor effective alternative version. 
Black Loops’ music is made in the middle of Berlin Kreuzberg. In the smokey ZHUT studio - Where lots of Toy Tonics records get made and mixed. When not hanging in the studio the guys DJ around the globe.

On his debut single, TS000002, Teo Mattress establishes himself as a fresh voice within a new generation of artists in Vancouver’s after-hours scene while honoring the signature baked-melancholia that skyrocketed the city to prominence in the early 2010s. Out February 8th, 2019 on Seattle imprint Tech Startup, TS000002 presents three emotionally-charged versions of the track Fairfield. The release evokes the grief and disorientation of heartbreak and questions the importance of home and place in one’s sense of stability.
The record kicks off with Fairfield (Speedin’ Mix), whose frenetic beats and expansive pads are sure to illuminate dancefloors in the early hours of the morning.

Alex Barck is known for participating at as many parties as possible simultanously. Now he invites for the very first time in his career to his own and personal bash. To the island La Reunion in the Indian Ocean to be exact. That’s where he settled with his entire family for a whole year since last summer to complete his probably most ambitious work ever: His debut solo album. The fist guest to be received is Pete Josef from Bristol (one half of The White Lamp), who wrote the lyrics for “Re-Set” and lends his voice to it naturally. A voice that suits perfectly Barcks twisted but always highly accessible productions. As a DJ who lives for the dancefloor Barck comes up with a track that make your legs shake and - in the second part - your hands raise. To assign the talents of newcomer Hannes Fischer to do a remix is a clever move. The latest wunderkind of the Berlin techno/house scene has an impressive sensitiveness for nuances like only very few have nowadays. In his rework he squeezes the essence out of “Re- Set” and fills it rich in content into a flacon that spreads somehow the odor of lavender. Until the release of the album “Reunion” there will be further three 12″ coming out of the holiday residence Barck. Stay tuned! In the meantime there still will be DJing in selected locations, work for the project Prommer & Barck (a second album is in the making), A&R managing for Sonar Kollektiv and of course active support of Jazzanova.
