'Leaving Cities' is a fresh walk in the countryside away from the digital pressure.

French producer, DJ and KMYLERCORDS boss Kmyle delivers this week's Global Vibe Radio episode.

Since his revelation on Skryptöm, Kmyle has forged a faultless path, with his sensitive productions between raw techno, atmospheric melodies and organic landscapes. 

After his first album ‘Northern Landscapes’ released on the label of his friend and accomplice Electric Rescue, with whom he shares the projects Möd3rn, Laval (Stockholm LTD), and some Spatialised 360° Performances, Kmyle has been given access to many prestigious labels: Clergy (Cleric), ARTS (Emmanuel), Materia (Marco Bailey), Mord (Bas Mooy), Beardman (Mark Broom), Break New Soil (Gregor Tresher) and Astropolis Records. 

These adventures have seen him collaborate with the cream of international producers for featurings or remixes such as Laurent Garnier, Voiski, James Ruskin, Inigo Kennedy, Zadig, Extrawelt , Paul Ritch, Ilario Alicante, Drumcell, Flug, Cleric…

Hyperactive and prolific, Kmyle is a relentless producer and a seasoned engineer with machines. Equally at ease in the studio and on stage, his euphoric analog live shows and DJ sets are the perfect synthesis of his pure and textured contemporary techno: a journey towards dazzling space-time blurring soundscapes that can venture into icy and melancholic depths as well as robust and perilous turbulences.

In 2020, he took a new step and launched his own label Kmyle Records, inaugurated by ‘Wasteland’, a first smashing EP praised by his peers (Ellen Alien, Amélie Lens, Emmanuel…) and the international press (XLR8R, Faze…). 

It didn’t take long for this ambassador of the new generation to become one of the most exciting producers in France, whose name now resounds far beyond the borders, leading him to the best clubs and festivals on the electronic planet: Razzmatazz, Griessmuhle, Arena Berlin, Concrete, Egg London, Rex Club, Piknic Electronik, Tbilisi, Gareporto, Lantern Beijing, Possession, Astropolis , to name a few .

MOTZ Premiere: Electric Rescue - The First Intentions [Skryptöm 068]

Hard Fist 17th release is on the way and is all about fusion of man and machine, connecting traditional singing to the electronic music dance floor attitude. Signed by prolific composer Omri Smadar, the digital EP also includes remixes by French producer Yuksek and Jordanian musician Shadi Khries.
 
Based in Tel Aviv, Omri Smadar’s life is all about composing and connecting, playing and performing, studying and story-telling. From deep history and complex theory to the dark art of dot joining, the academically trained composer and pianist is neck deep in all aspects of the culture and artform. He worked with Correspondant, Tel Aviv’s Blue Shadow and collaborated with well-known musicians such as Siam and Fortis, and to extensive remixes, edits and remoulds of influential Israeli music, such as debut album ‘Collage’ [Nana Disc 2020]

Phase of Motion EP surrounds the idea of fusing organic-traditional human singing and playing with the electronic music dancefloor attitude. Omri’s work is known for interweaving organic, synthetic and analog. This EP is a perfect example, with its heady vocals and chants going hand in hand with percussion and machine sounds.

If the man to whom we owe remixes for Lana del Rey, L’Imperatrice or even Booba, chose to put his hands on Omri Smadar’s music, it means you’re only starting to hear of the Prince of Tel-Aviv!
As usual, Yuksek turns everything he touches into gold. He delivers here a chiaroscuro version of the Adama Track where the voices of the israeli-ethiopian children choir from “Sheba Band” meet psychedelic percussions, deep and round bass, acid flourishes and piano disco’s melodies irresistibly dancing.
