So yeah, while I was making this track Aretha Franklin died. Which sucks - world lost an incredible singer.

The sampled track is "Only Star", from the "La Diva" album (1979). Not typical of her (another big name caught up by the disco craze of the time), but a banger nonetheless! Hope you enjoy - and if you like producing Future Funk or any other sample genre, or just want to know more, why not take this chance to explore her back catalogue? It's remarkable how many barely-known gems the lady produced sitting there on a few thousand views tops on Youtube and beyond. Rich pickings for your ears.
