After more than two years of late nights, lost shoes, and last calls, New York City's Skunkmello is set to release their debut full-length album, "Stars & Stripes" (produced by Ed Cuervo), on September 16 via their homegrown Moped Music label. The record is a frenzied, full-bore burner across the interstates of asphalt Americana – rowdy rockers in surf stereo, blazed in big city lights.

The band blends the raw urgency of Creedence Clearwater Revival with the singer-songwriter storytelling of country-folk troubadour Townes Van Zandt and the sticky swagger of The Rolling Stones, celebrating the traditions of rock and roll with brazen irreverence. Lead single “Stars & Stripes” bears this out with growling slide guitars, danceable rhythmic interplay, and sardonic lyrics that examine young America’s aptitude for oblivion in pursuit of a good time.
