Renowned for his collaborations with DnB veteran Loxy and critically acclaimed releases on many of the finest labels including Metalheadz, Exit Records, Renegade Hardware and Samurai Music among others, delivering the goods for SKUTTA005 is the man like Resound.

First up is 'Rare Species". A track with great crossover appeal that has been rinsed at both ends of the DnB spectrum proving just how versatile a producer Resound is. Building up to the drop with sci-fi FX and distinctive woodblock sound, the track emerges into an energetic frenzy of percussion and wobbly bass.

Next up LA Johnson & Baddesley join Resound on "Deep Architecture". Starting off with sinister pads and slow-fast halfstep beats, the track morphs into a Miami Bass and Footwork channeling affair as it drops progressing throughout with a jukey vocal snippet and 808 percussion.

This one is for connoisseurs of the contemporary sounds of 170bpm bass music and goes out to all the heads.

With critically acclaimed releases in a variety of genres on labels such as Dubkraft, Syncopathic, Moniker Eggplant and Birmingham’s very own Rawganics we are pleased to present to you DYL, one of the finest in a recent wave of exciting new artists to emerge from Romania.

Up first is the remix of ‘Anishinaabe’ by Skutta regulars and frequent collaborators Clima. The trademark sound that these guys are known for shows throughout the track. Industrial and progressive, Clima have once again showed why they are one of hottest drum and bass acts to come about in recent years. Next up is DYL’s original version, full of his characteristic tribal rhythms and sinister atmospherics. This one is stripped back and cinematic, definitely a choice pick for those who like things dark. Also included on this release is ‘Metamorphosis’ reminiscent of earlier techstep, its layered breakbeats keep the groove rolling alongside the reverbed fx and deep bass.

Local underground music pioneers Listening Sessions are teaming up with one of Birmingham's most forward-thinking drum and bass labels Skutta Records to bring the inimitable sound of Rupture to Birmingham for a night of strictly underground drum and bass!

With a line-up packed full of Rupture's most revered artists and bolstered by fresh talent from the Skutta Records camp, the night promises to be a solid representation of the most authentic facet of the drum and bass sound. Powered by the mighty Creative Hertz sound system, the friendly and intimate PST Club provides the perfect environment for a night packed full of bass and break beats.

Local underground talent from the Listening Sessions family will be holding down the rooftop stage at PST, spanning a range of genres and tempos but collectively focusing on one thing - the true sound of Birmingham's underground.
