"I call this one the "iPod selection". For this mix I raided the files and folders of my old iPod from the early / mid 2000s. So this sort of selection represents a lot of what I was listening to as I entered my late teenage years, into my early 20s. Those formative musical years definitely stay with you forever and these tracks are a pretty decent snapshot of my music taste even now. Thanks to Pollination for the opportunity."

"Racism has always been an issue in society; most recently this was highlighted within the Drum & Bass industry with the whitewashing that is going on and the disregard of people of colour that helped sculpt the scene in the early days to present.

"This music has always been associated with bringing people together no matter your race, creed or colour and from my own experience I can truly say this is true.

"As a result, I wanted to feature artists and labels associated with people of colour that have influenced my musical journey as well as showcase those that are striving to push through because the talent is there.

"It is fitting that this coincides with Black History month in the UK so enjoy the mix and I hope this gets you intrigued to check out those featured you may not be familiar with.
