This is a track I made about 3 years ago, its rough but to me its a good first track to lead off with as well as just getting my page started...It is inspired by the late great Augustus Pablo! 

Pressure Dub

You ever ask yourself the meaning, or wonder why it's there?
Ever push on all the boundaries, and reach beyond the fear?
Have you ever been so anxious that you started seeing spots?
Then, maybe you should start connecting lines to all those dots.

Grab hold of the illusion, form it solid, give it texture
Speak without exhaling, pop the contents under pressure
Pour it out, bottoms up, don't keep your feelings bottled up
You can always rely on peace of mind to protect you

Never trust a man who still smells clean at five pm
If he never breaks a sweat, then he never keeps a friend
Hold your journal close, be careful what you share
Most poets don't know how to cook, they'll eat all your ideas

They smile with all their teeth, and over reach to shake your hand
Tripping over their own feet at any chance to get ahead
It's not really nice to meet, there's no reason to pretend
When your motive is to cheat an honest man out of his ends

If your ship's stuck in a bottle, there's no room for you to sail
So, I'm cutting through your blubber, I'm harpooning the whale
I'm pretty good at winning but, I've mastered how to fail
Soon as I figure how to pick the lock, I'm back in jail

I do it for the Gipper, do it for the under dog
Just a blinking lighthouse in an ocean full of fog
Since, most fail to notice that a pigeon is a dove
I'm exposing all the dirt and grime they sweep under the rug
I've always liked a challenge that's why i be showing love 
It's much easier to hate on somebody than big them up

But, you gotta play dumb cause the wise be getting euthanized
Just take a look at how the King Martin Luther died
It's hard not to see that the wolf's covered in sheep hide
So, I like to leave the doors to my perception open wide

Call yourself hard cause you push around what's delicate
You can throw stones but, you can't nudge a megalith
I'm hungry for new knowledge, an appetite of an elephant
so, I stay eating planets at the table of elements

Bring life to the dead and company to the alone
Blow music through a flute widdled from a hollow bone
In order to feel connected, I borrow more than I own
I'm guided by ancient spirits who carry me on a throne
