Ya know what it's like with music and those who sit in judgement. It all has parallels in life. 
In my case,I'm not laying claim to being the next 'anybody',I'm merely letting out what comes from within. That'll be my take on everything I've heard and all that's gone before...t'ain't reinventing the round thang.

Perhaps this song is encouragement to all the folk who feel dispirited by those who listen,then dismiss it as 'heard it all before'. Well,at least they 'listened!

It's very early morning in North West Texas, still dark...

You pick up your guitar, and wallet, slowly shut the backdoor, walk across to your  '63 Mustang, put your beloved axe in the back seat, start it up, it roars with delight.

Pickup your girlfriend some minutes later, without a word she puts her RayBans in her handbag, puts on a black and white chequerboard style headscarf to keep off the chill,  and you just head out to the Texas desert heading West and just keep going, not a care in the world.

After a couple of hours, the Sun is up and already burning, put your RayBans on... You stop at a rather forlorn looking gas station to fill up, the owner is sitting in a rocking chair out on the sandy, oil stained forecourt, then it's off again, but then your stop about a mile later, you both agree that a driving song would be really cool,  she opens the glove box and finds a tape, puts it in and whacks it up to 10....this is that song.

Based out of their respective man caves in the UK and Sweden, Leo & Johan had spent a couple of years giving feedback on each others songs on various songwriting forums, until, like all good superheroes (or professional “sidekicks” if you’re me!) they decided that they could only save the world if they combined their mighty forces!! :D

Why “Sky Lanterns” you ask? Well, everything else was taken! :D We do however like the idea that, like a sky lantern, we have no clue where we’re going, but hopefully the only way is up and in a BLAZE OF GLORY!!!! ....too much?? Yeah, you’re probably right! :D
