“John Davis began his career in music by sneaking into a Misfits concert at age 14. Not wanting to miss his favorite band and low on cash, Davis was caught by Jerry Only, who “punished” him by making him work the merchandise booth at the show. By the end of the night, Davis was hooked the allure of the independent music scene. Jerry Only left him with a promise that when he turned 18, he had a job with them. The story could have ended there, with a great story about a kid’s favorite band throwing him a bone. Rather than let a simple anecdote become his legacy, Davis went on to form Red Light Productions, a booking, and management firm out of Bend, Oregon. Davis is unique in that he has spent much of his time not only cultivating Red Light but touring the world with various acts having been to 38 states and 2 countries as a touring musician. He has a deep understanding of what artists are looking for both on the road and off the road, what it takes to book a successful tour or just a hometown show, ultimately because Davis has lived on both sides of the van. He has a passion for working closely with clients, pushing them to reach their full potential while learning from the pros he has had the privilege of working with, artists including Tommie Sunshine, Mike Watt and the missingmen, Sage The Gemini, RiFFRAFF, Common Kings, James McMurtry, Rhiannon Giddens, T.I., Mickey Avalon, Carnifex, Trapt, Alien Ant Farm, Built To Spill, Eve 6, Andrew WK, Dieselboy, Downlink, Keith Anderson, Jim Adkins ( Of Jimmy Eat World), Warren G, Everlast, Chelsea Grin, Bring Me the Horizon, We Came as Romans, As I Lay Dying, The Frights, Zander Schloss, Built To Spill, Ying Yang Twins, Bilal, David Ryan Harris, Gabe Dixon, The Game, Gift Of Gab, D.O.A., Strung Out, Unwritten Law, Dodge & Fuski, Moosh & Twist, Lemolo, 68, Together Pangea, Mega Ran, Shawn James & The Shapeshifters, SWMRS, and countless other scene giants as a concert producer and talent buyer. Rocketman (aka Joshua Eberhart) crafts emotionally charged Melodic Bass that blends spacious atmospheres with powerful drops. Influenced by artists like EDEN, ILLENIUM, Chelsea Cutler, Linkin Park, and The Chainsmokers, his music bridges the gap between raw emotion and high-energy soundscapes.
His journey began at just six years old when he started learning piano, but it was the mesmerizing “Launchpad” performance videos that sparked his passion for electronic music. Before earning a degree in aerospace engineering, Rocketman won the Monstercat Mix Contest, marking the start of his industry journey.
With six years of experience as an Audio Engineer, he now brings his refined sound to Monstercat with his “From a Certain Point of View” EP. When he’s not producing, you’ll find him immersed in the world of Star Wars, competing in Rocket League, or exploring the great outdoors.
