Jade has long been a part of the No.19 family, playing globally at Social Experiment events with the crew and featuring on the labels samplers and compilations. Now she finally steps up to deliver a fantastic debut single for the imprint, letting the world in on her sound with the stunning Circadian Arousal. Jade is a talented and dedicated Canadian DJ/producer who has, since 2008, been mentored by No.19 label boss Jonny White. Her work both in the studio and the DJ booth has truly paid off with this exciting & talented artist developing her own unique style and sound. Now she comes correct once again with a dark, enthralling single full of brilliant club sounds that are full of her own personal and unique sense of charm. Opening up her account with the world renowned label is Process S, a heavyweight, enthralling house track with a wonderfully off kilter and broken feel to it. Compellingly designed, the track layers pulsating bass and disembodied synth stabs over some inspired drum programming to create something almost otherworldly. Then comes the equally brilliant but quite different Process C. This one is more direct and driven, with a raw techno feel that is offset by the haunting vocals snippets and subtle melodies, sublime stuff! This is a stellar new EP from No.19 that confirms Jade as a core part of their musical team and a star in her ascendency.

Tiga lines up the next EP on his Turbo sub label, Twin Turbo and in doing so follows up a string of successful records from the likes of Harvard Bass, Phil Kieran and Zombie Nation with a bold and driving EP from Dirtybird and Hypercolour affiliate - Kill Frenzy. Throughout his catalogue, the Belgian born and Berlin based producer has melded rich atmospherics with potent drums and infectious vocal samples and this - his ‘Crystal Seed’ EP is one fans both old and new will relish.

The title track kicks things off with warped, tubular bass tone set tumbling under brash hats and a piercing clap. Nifty drum fills punctuate progress as filters drive towards a rapturous crescendo before ‘Follow Me’ sets pitched vocals and scattered 808 hats off to a menacing march. Drums are given a distinct Turbo feel as they’re deftly flanged and overdriven and set atop a swelling bass groove that rolls until the close of another fine addition to the Twin Turbo catalogue.

Gesaffelstein's 'Variations' EP set an all-time record for feedback at Turbo. For a new artist to attract that kind of attention from such a broad cross-section of DJs is extremely special and a clear sign that he's tapped in to something very, very big. To the younger generation of clubbers and DJs for whom the funtastic era of 2001-2003 revivalism was a missed experience, Gesaffelstein represents a double-breasted jacket of nostalgia for everything from the power of Industrial and 80s New Wave to the Gigolo-glam of early Kittin & the Hacker, Steril, Vitalic, Fixmer, and yes, Tiga.
 
We have no hesitation in declaring that he has single-handedly updated an entire genre, sharpened the edges, and notably traded in the camp and pastiche that made Electroclash a dirty word for a refined and stylish simplicity. The breakdowns are massive and very French, but never out of order. These are futuristic party bombs which skillfully draw from our favourite dance music of the last 30 years... and add more cowbell!
