Jack Rose is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist known for his emotionally resonant scoring work and cinematic songwriting. His music has been featured in major films, global ad campaigns, Olympic performances, and across streaming platforms with over 200 million plays worldwide.

Jack's big break into A-list cinema came with the 2021 Netflix holiday film Father Christmas Is Back (Kelsey Grammer / John Cleese), directed by Mick Davis and Philippe Martinez, which reached No. 3 on Netflix USA. He also contributed music to Miss Willoughby and the Haunted Bookshop (Lionsgate) and scored My Dad’s Christmas Date, a Goldfinch comedy starring Jeremy Piven, released on Amazon Prime. His work on that film later inspired a collaboration with Northern Ballet, creating a socially-distanced dance video during lockdown that was later sync’d in the same movie.

Other scoring credits include the stylish crime short Shooting Paul and the psychological thriller Serena’s Game, directed by Liza Bolton.

Jack’s career began when Sony Records signed him at just 18. His first major score was the World Wildlife Fund documentary Papalotzin, charting the migration of monarch butterflies from Canada to Mexico, released theatrically across North America. Since then, he’s scored for documentaries, art films, and commercials worldwide.

He is also known for his experimental and ambient work with the internationally renowned duo Hang Massive, helping shape their signature sonic aesthetic. His musical sensitivity and rich harmonic language have made him a sought-after collaborator across genres.

In 2022, his arrangement of The Long and Winding Road was performed by Canadian Olympic ice dancers Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier at the Beijing Winter Olympics.

Working from a high-end studio in North Yorkshire, Jack continues to create soundtracks that blur the line between emotion and atmosphere – always with storytelling at their core.
