Live at Opulent Temple, Wednesday Night - Burning Man 2022 - Sacred Dance ('the white party')

It's our flagship event we've done on playa since the first OT in 2003. It's the night that most encapsulates our Vision and intentions to be a mass joy generator. I picked this slot, going on before Carl Cox, to have the latitude of the early start to start deep and ramp up the energy, before bringing it down a bit for Carl to take over. That means restraint and flow, with emotion moments getting pulled back into groove and steady beauty.

As always, it was a magic night and I thank you if you were there dancing with us!

It has been quite some time since the last time we gathered for a night of MBTS. I wanted to take some time after the pandemic to be quiet and see how the dance music scene would evolve, and what sounds would come out of the standstill that was Covid. Now that I have a good sense of where I want to be sonically, and what kind of energy I want to spread onto dance floors, I am ready to restart MBTS in 2023. This was my fourth time playing Coachella. 

A few weeks before the festival I was on the phone with my Mom and I specifically told her that I am taking nothing for granted and pouring everything I have into this set. 

I worked my ass off on this. 

I think it really captures where I am in my musical journey. 

I am proud of it and I think it is one of my best sets to date.

Thanks again to the DoLaB and I am super looking forward to being with everyone again at LiB!
