In a musical landscape dominated by American and Commonwealth producers, Bass Music's eastern European vanguards are an often-undersung breed of impressive composers and engineers. The Rust's most recent addition to our release catalog is a stalwart Siberian producer by the name of Coout, brandishing his first full length release, Time to Believe. 

Coout's style takes a heavy influence from a range of garage and breakbeat styles, fusing transient percussion and low-slung bass lines that rattle along harmonic peaks. Time to Believe coalesces these influences into a seven track album that focuses on emotive arrangements, delivering powerful phrases with a particular degree of harmony and ample vocal sampling. Blending rhythmic staccato with pulsing sub frequencies is the wheelhouse that Coout draws his primary strengths from, and he successfully pulls off his interpretation of full-spectrum music through clever breaks, tight turnarounds, and a generous serving of spatial swelling. 

For those who are looking for a relaxed infusion of rhythm, soul, and synthesis, Time to Believe should be the next must-have on your record wishlist.

It was New Moon in Leo and the Lion's Gate Portal was open.
Awaken and sacred land of Oaxaca,  Pacific Coast.
Jardin de Saraswati held beautiful space with humongous mango trees for a great and profound journey to the Heart.

The creation of this set is an outcome of my inner  process after completing my first SunDance. A struggle of adapting to the mundane life after strong devotional ceremony of Lakota tradition. Expansion of my perception led to me recognize the Divine in each portion of daily life. Also motivated me to bring that "Ecstatic Essence of the Divine" to the community through music. poetry, performing arts and loving presence.

Highlights of this set were ;
1.  Starting with a meditation of Saraswati, Goddess of music, art, speech, wisdom, and learning..
2. Playing a Turkish Sufi track for the first time as one of my mother languages.
3. Ending the journey with a Lakota chanting track which brought the  deep tears to my eyes..
4. At the closing circle, improvising a poetry and giving words and voice  to a Heart on Fire of Love and Devotion.

Lodestar ft. Choric Lumina

Inspired by recent understanding of dinosaurs' striking similarity to modern birds, this recording consists of several large bird species pitched down multiple octaves, slowed, convoluted and harmonized to replicate what dinosaurs may have genuinely sounded like in the flesh, millions of years ago.  Such giant creatures would undoubtedly have been capable of generating incredible bass or infrasound, even lower than some large birds that still live today.  A field recording of a forest by my friend Luke Hazard from West Virginia has been mixed underneath throughout to join the sounds together with continuous ambience, as a montaged menagerie of species may have sounded in the far distant past.  Created in Ableton Live.

This is a live recording of one of my favorite sets from the SunSet Cacao Dance's I played this season in Guatemala at Eagles Nest. The journey starts with a cacao ceremony and then begins with slower, spacious music. The energy builds slowly through the mix and peaks followed by a cool down towards the end as the energy comes back down. These sorts of sets are some of my favorites to play. This set also contains some of my unreleased tunes.

Wow, this was the second burn for me and first of all I would like to thank the Robot Heart family and Lee Burridge for giving me the chance to live one of the most intense and amazing experiences of my life. 

To be honest, ever since I got offered to play after the Lee’s well known mythical sunrise sets, my mind was all over the place. Going from happiness to anxiety to excitement, I trusted in the power of "The Playa" and went along with the feeling that everything was going to be fine. The result of this process was a 2 hour set of varied, emotional and fun music whilst the heat of the desert was banging at 10am.  

Being on the bus surrounded by my friends from Argentina, Panama, and New York, along with many others that I had the chance to meet is something that I will never forget. Again, thank you Lee, Robot Heart, Juli, Antos, Mati, Assaf, Zeyad, Jaxx, Sandra, Tengo and everyone for making this moment one of the happiest of my life.

I wish this will take you on a beautiful journey.
