"This series describes what to our Slagwerk collective is perceived as a certain branch in contemporary experimental music. The title refers to concepts in recent cultural/literary theory that, consciously and uncosciously, have left profound traces in our musical experience as consumers and producers. The pictures we portray in our minds of todays avant-garde are those of hauntological inscriptions in the physical body/the body of work/the body as a cultural agent. Culture always leaves a trail by contaminating the unwanted and the unspoken. Breaking traditional binary oppositions in music, temporal in hauntology and physical in the problem of the body, sketches our view on society, yet we fail in the process of conceptualizing it. We do not want to build further on these theories for these ideas are but an inspiration. We try to search and present music that to us fits vaguely in between these concepts and hope to offer new and unique listening experiences."

@yawningportal is an opening to other worlds: a transmutation: a prayer. A collective name for two musical collaborators based between Chicago and London. They released a debut EP “Heart and Earth” at the end of 2020 and run a monthly radio show on NTS “Under Sleepy Moon”.

LEGACY is a band composed of HAJJ, 2NDSKY and 97Paul, based between Lyon and Brussels. They just presented on Promesses their debut release: "LEGACY", an eponymous album of 11 tracks where 2NDSKY’s aerial flows melt with the ethereal and atmospheric productions of HAJJ, 97Paul and 2NDSKY.

Slagwerk operates as a platform primarily focussing on contemporary music and art. The events which ranged from intimate settings to outright club nights have always aimed for the intersection of sound and scenography and presented a wide range of significant artists such as Amnesia Scanner, Oli XL, Aïsha Devi, Lee Gamble, Varg2™, Rabit, Abyss X, M.E.S.H. and many others. Besides organizing events, they present themselves as a music label. Their aesthetic ranges from metamodern internetculture to endeavours into spiritual ambiences contaminated with strikingly dynamic club environments. Striving for an eclectic body of work is the main intention.
