The 25th mix comes from Ron Albrecht, German Dj who began his musical career in the early nineties. Inspired by local and international scene experts like Tanith, Rok, Kid Paul and Jeff Mills, it was time to come out into the open for the first time in 1993. His trips to famous and well-respected clubs made him switch from being a regular music consumer to discovering the field of performing and DJ-ing.  His name is closely connected to the Gerberei club in Schwerin, which the co-founder, organiser and resident ran from 1994 until its closing in 2013. Between 1997 and 2002 Ron Albrecht additionally worked as a producer together with his associate Thomas Kuffner, releasing several records under the labels “Sind Records” and “ElektronikParlament”. Brothers in Mind, a DJ and producer collaboration, is another one of Ron Albrechts projects which he puts into practice together with his longtime friend Stefan Rein.

His picks for Bassiani Podcast series are what you might expect: an energetic, dynamic and hypnotic techno. The set, that begins with a brand new release of Rehue, which soon followed by some techno heavyweights, deepens the vibe across a long run of energetic, dancefloor oriented tunes, and goes out in a field of atmospheric, repetitive and meditative records.

The 76th FrenzyPodcast will be provided by a dear friend of Frenzy and homegrown talent, Flits. Despite entering the scene quite recently, it is certain that he is here to stay. His sound can be described as high intensity techno, with dark, groovy and hypnotic characteristics with a slight touch of old school. 

For Frenzy Flits created a 2.5 hour set in which he fully shows himself. Flits told us that it was a conscious choice to play a long set, because he wants to take the listeners on a journey. He strives to hold the attention of the listeners by holding on to a constant flow throughout his mix, and by showing a lot of diversity of his capabilities.

Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
