Warming up The Laundry Courtyard for Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann—what an honour! ✨ Huge thanks to Nergal and The Laundry for the booking. If you know me, you know how much I love setting the tone for the party —building the energy slowly, weaving in the deeper, weirder stuff before handing it over to the headliner. This was one of my favourite sets ever, and I had an absolute ball playing! Seeing so many friends on the dancefloor made it even better.

Originally from Chicago and now based in Berlin, Jacob Meehan is a DJ and event organiser known for creating thoughtful, feel-good energy both behind the decks and in the spaces he helps shape. A regular presence at some of Berlin’s best-loved dance floors, his sets blend warmth, groove and intention.

This one was recorded while Jacob was on-site at Ferropolis, helping build up for WHOLE Festival 2025 – a sunny, summery mix to lift your mood and move your feet.

Slam open the new year on a high after a hugely successful 2017, one that has taken them around the world showcasing the sound of Soma. The new EP, Static Form, continues the duo’s foray into tougher club sounds yet retains the depth and precision that they are known for. 

Opener Solace is a hypnotic journey, set to the backdrop of subtle, ominous pads and a jacking drum track. Fractions & Static Form continue the tripped out vibe of the EP but set their sights firmly at more peak time orientated sounds. Closing out with Disconnect, Slam unleash huge swelling synth hooks and sub heavy drums to power this monster.

Slam (aka Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle) are a tour de force on the global techno circuit. Their unique, six deck, back-to-back DJ performances have seen the duo play leading clubs and festivals across the world. They are renowned for both their experience and their powerful, contemporary sound. 

They are co-owners of Glasgow's Riverside Festival, and also host the legendary Maximum Pressure warehouse parties, which showcase the best emerging local talent alongside some of the most established names in international techno.

Their iconic Soma Records label boasts in excess of 600 releases, hosting Mcmillan and Meikle's own productions and many of today's most cutting-edge techno artists.

The last few years have seen some of the duo's most prolific studio output as they continue to innovate and keep things moving forward, most recently with the release of their experimental full length record Athenæum 101. In addition, Slam have also remixed tracks from the likes of Planetary Assault Systems, Clouds, Dax J, Damon Wild, Richie Hawtin, and Truncate, to name just a few. 

Slam also host one of Techno's most respected weekly podcasts, Slam Radio, which has now surpassed over 400 episodes. The show allows the duo to demonstrate their conviction to creating and promoting music and vibes that provide an antidote to the mainstream by inviting fellow artists from the vibrant Techno scene, from obscure names to current trailblazers.
