From collaborations with BLOND:ISH to official remixes for Sofi Tukker and Cirque du Soleil, ForgiveMeTommy! have taken the world by storm since emerging in Montreal just over a year ago. Teaming up with Joyia from Toronto, “Control” takes her melodic R&B sound, distorts it, and distills it into mainstage heat.

It takes many hands to build a home, many minds to build a movement, many faces to build a community. After a full year of releases at SLAPPED, this becomes more & more clear. We wanted to close out the year by celebrating the many faces that inspire & make up our musical world and the many facets of their sound. 

'Many Faces Vol. 1' spans many house flavours – ranging classic to deep, organic to progressive, techy to electro – to paint a picture of what we think SLAPS. Releases November 26th, 2025.

SLAPPED Records delivers a new take on Mitch Oliver’s hit single ‘Control Z’ featuring Might Delete Later.

This remix comes from a long time friend of Mitch’s, Mustafa Ismaeel, who takes the nostalgic essence of the original and blends in his signature groovy bassline & drums, along with a touch of deep-housey keys and chords.

Control Z (Mustafa Ismaeel Remix) is out on January 17, 2025, leading a remix EP to follow in February.

Los Angeles producer Justin Vilhauer debuts on SLAPPED with Too Much For Me, a masterclass three-track EP that showcases his remarkable range across deep tech, deep house, and minimal territories. 

The title track is a cover that transforms darkness into groove with deeper, sexier energy, while "Syncopated Notes" featuring Jack Roy and Lucy Branch epitomizes classy deep house sophistication. Attention Customers

Maxi Desgrassi premieres on SLAPPED with Dusty Beep, a two-track EP signifying a stylistic departure for the Argentinian legend. The title track is a peak-time house track, taking an original, glitchy vocal and imbuing it with a bombastic electro energy. “Attention Customers” follows up with a full head-trip – a psychedelic indie dance journey that only Maxi could craft.

DHS Premiere: Cocho - LOOK AROUND YOU (Extended Mix)

What started out as a playful joke in Horla’s studio, when his partner blurted into the mic, “do you wanna have S_X with me?”, has turned into a floor-filling deep house song signature to Montreal. “S_X” is Horla’s debut on hometown label SLAPPED Records, after a long friendship with label head Mitch Oliver.

Many Faces Vol. 1

Manuel Falardeau makes his long overdue debut to the imprint with "No Time To Waste", a kick ass old school house joint with punching rhythm & classic organ leads. 90s warmth from analog synths drives new school drums for a timeless Montreal sound.

No Time To Waste

Toronto-based collaborators Thomas Hernan & Locotek debut on Montreal-based SLAPPED Records with Lucy, a genre bending, introspective house track. The studio symbiosis of these two Canadian frontiermen brings a track that has melodic intrigue, top-tier sound design, and a journey that deepens with every listen.

São Paolo's progressive house champion, Albuquerque, returns to SLAPPED Records with "Monday Sunshine". The track leans into a washed out & reverb drenched vocal to lean into the feeling of a Brazilian summer – hot, sweaty, energetic and lively.

Montreal-based YVNNI debuts on hometown label SLAPPED Records with “1999”. Every year, the Greek-Canadian producer sits down on his birthday to make one full track, expressing where he’s at in that moment. This year, he decided to release it – an homage to life itself. Equal parts Mykonos groove, Montreal chops & a touch of Miami bounce, “1999” is already lighting up dancefloors.

Montreal's Mitch Oliver returns to his imprint with "Fly Away". The second track featuring Mitch's own vocals, it is a deep house journey that ruminates a romantic tale, equal parts longing & bounce.

Cocho's fifth release on SLAPPED solidifying his legacy with the imprint, "i need u" expresses his unique approach to producing. Blending elements across sub-genres of the house spectrum, what we're left with is another undefinable & emotional banger, rife with compositional & melodic elements of a classic electronica track, but the energy demanded by a dancefloor of the future. "i need u" leans into the romance with a leading saxophone, yearning vocal chops, & cathartic release. We all need a little Cocho.

Buenos Aires-based Kalima debuts on SLAPPED with “Not At Home” – a track that brings him out of his boundaries stylistically & dives into classic, thumping house. Ripping swells, echoed vocal chops and a persistent groove take the listener to state of trance.

NYC-based C Ï A G A brings her unique blend of progressive & organic house to SLAPPED Records with “Elephant Call”. The track is stomping, with a swung groove & harmonically rich bassline, like a rave that has turned Central Park into a jungle for 4 minutes. As her second official release, C Ï A G A proves to be an artist to watch.

Argentinian rising star Valdovinos debuts on SLAPPED Records with “Luciernaga”. Deep, sultry and psychedelic, “Luciernaga” is equal parts fiery dancefloor banger & deep focus headphone music – a worthy homage to the grace & mystery of the firefly.

Sometimes life imitates art, and sometimes running a label imitates being a fan. After a long day of listening to demos, we came across “Paper Roll” by Toulouse-based artist Petra, which nearly blew our monitors off the shelves. The joy of discovery & surprise never dissipates. “Paper Roll” crystallizes a classic electro house sound with an infomercial-like spoken vocal for one of our favourite new signings to date.
