Today, they're bringing us energetic heat in the form of "El Dinio's Mansion" - blending breezing chords into the electronic essence of Acid, it's all glued together with a cheeky vocal sample on a broken beat.

Berlin’s Open Music Lab is back with their second release: Quanta, out on 26-FEB-2022. We're excited to premiere one of the forthcoming contributions by morphena. 

morphena is an Argentinian-born emerging DJ and producer and has been a long-time student of OML and recently started becoming a mentor herself for new students. morphena describes the track as her first production where she can “imprint a hybrid between a club track and a song”, while keeping the lyrics as the main focus and center of the track - listen & support <3  

Open Music Lab: 
The OML label was born out of a supportive community of creatives from various backgrounds and abilities. It offers an opportunity for people to engage with unique blends of musical sounds that are enriched by different cultures and lived experiences. Quanta showcases the music and work of some of OML’s most committed students and mentors. This unique release shows the range of talent at OML and the musical bond and creative collaboration that comes out of the community. Each track on the release is produced by an OML student and is accompanied by a remixed version from their mentors.

Gimme A Break Records are incredibly proud to announce their  ‘Solidarity With Ukraine’ compilation. Spanning across the genres of  breakbeat, UK garage, electro, techno, trance, dubstep and jungle our  fundraiser V.A. features 18 incredible producers from across the globe. 

Beatriarchy boss gal Kitsta is a London based DJ and producer driving the Trance X Bass agenda. Known for her euphoric, bass-heavy sets, she has touched down in clubs all across the UK such as Corsica Studios, Hidden, Hare & Hounds and Hope Works alongside her monthly Balamii Radio residency. 
She has dropped tracks on Sticky Tapes and Fly By Night Recordings leading to plays on BBC Radio 6, making her upcoming release schedule one to watch.

All proceeds from the compilation will be donated to the K41  Community Fund. This is a project initiated by the team at the Kyiv based cultural institution ∄ with the aim to provide financial, humanitarian  and logistical support to the musical and cultural community that has  been facing life-threatening challenges since the beginning of the  Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Areliz Ramos, also formerly known as ‘Milkshlk’ (Female Pressure, Napp), is a producer from Peru who's musical storytelling skills are reflected in her carefully crafted mixes as well as in her versatile productions. 
 Her track ‘Rush’ for the first Warming Compilation is a beautiful piece to warm your heart during cold and grey days."

Warming, the introspective division of Warning, was launched by resident Mars Leder as an “off the (Rave) track” mix series in 2019. Since then the aim has been to provide warm vibes in a cold world to help us unwind in hectic times. We’re now expanding the
sub-project and present to you WARM01, the first Ambient music release on Warning. With seven mindfully selected tracks from Areliz Ramos, Yhdessa, Caldera, Premis, Lewi Boome, Vertical67, and Warning resident Philipp Otterbach with his new project KYN, a collaboration with Sebastian Eubel. The compilation aims to reflect the versatility of the genre, from mellow textures and floating voices to fractal patterns and rapturous basslines. Born in Tehran, Real Mo started rapping when he was 14 years old. Now producing electronic music and especially techno, RealMo draws from his heritage by using Middle Eastern instruments in his tracks, and tries to convey feelings through sounds, without using words.

OML label was born out of Berlin's Open Music Lab inclusive community of creatives from various backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. It offers an opportunity for listeners to engage with unique blends of musical sounds that are enriched by different cultures and lived experiences outside of the mainstream.
