Malte Magnum got into music in his teens in Dresden, digging Dubstep and Hip Hop tunes from early on. Since his time in Halle he's resident of the ORGIA crew, known for their raves or as part of the Tarmac Festival. By now he's based in Leipzig, and despite his East German vita, his current sound makes you wonder which part of the 🇬🇧 he actually is from — which means Garage, Dubstep, Jungle, Grime, House & Breaks. This time everything deep and heavy from 130-140 bpm.

Clocking up releases on mighty labels like ‘International Chrome’, ‘Childsplay’ and affiliate 'Haŵs', his innovative rave methodology and expeditious BPMs have become superlatively synonymous with the hard and nasty sounds of the UK, more exclusively of the Event Series ‘Quest 808’ (which he co-runs). His DJ sets continue this wild rave energy with blends of every genre, with the added touch of speed.
    
Keeping it big, brash and bold has already gained him the support of esteemed selectors Ben UFO, Dave Clarke and Anz, and featured on premier radio stations like Radio 1 and Rinse FM. This fast and furious talent is certainly not done yet...

Our next OYE podcast is something very special because it comes from our lovely team member Gaia aka Formella. She delivers a colorful mix that ranges from deep techno to breaks to UK-influenced beats.

Formella´s sets are known for their diversity and range, you can hear her musical knowledge gained from working in Berlin record shop OYE Records. Her sets are full of surprises, and never lacking energy. For her it’s all about connecting with the crowd and keeping them on their toes. 

London born, Berlin based, Formella has taken on the Berlin club scene by storm, playing at HÖR multiple times, including for a Typeless Records showcase, and venturing beyond Germany to renowned clubs such as Thekla in Bristol for Interplanetary Criminals UK tour and Ankali in Prague. 

She is now delving into the realm of electronic music production, honing her musical theory skills learnt from piano and side flute, to work on her debut EP.
