After the intriguing collaborative efforts on their debut EP “Tender Trance” and the follow-up EP “Sueño”, DJ Gigola and Kev Koko are back with a 3-track record. Continuing their hybrid production style, this time, they are joined by rapper Perra Inmunda. Perra’s fast paced flow and staccato rhymes blend seamlessly with Kev Koko’s signature groove. Together with DJ Gigola's airy, ethereal chorus vocals, the result is a playful exploration of modern music that picks up right where the previous EPs left off: blurring lines between techno, pop, and now also, rap. Lyrically, the EP examines three different aspects of love. Sweaty dances on the floor, kisses lost on the way home and the solitude of being left unanswered; it seems only fitting they chose the title “No Es Amor”. The EP will be released on "Live From Earth Klub" on 8th of April 2022 in both digital and physical formats.

As a day one resident of Horoom / Bassiani he's a vivid part of the local scene while his productions for iconic labels like Further Electronics and georgian labels Fantastic Planet and Mind Controlled Rectifier made him known to the international crowd.

His contribution for the Warning Mix Series was recorded at Horoom on the opening night of the season. Enjoy two and a half our of warm House grooveres, techy bangers and slick Electro cuts, mixed in a gentle yet energetic way. Let the bass roll!

Bassiani Podcast 221's next in line and this one comes from Georgian firebrand Charch. Tbilisi’s his hometown, and the place whose steep ascent as mecca for electronic culture in the early 2010s provided the right conditions for his musical passions to flourish. These days, he’s based in Tallinn, and he’s brought his bottomless hunger for records to the local scene there, with the founding of his own record store Biit Me Riga in neighbouring Latvia a much beloved addition to the neighbourhood. It’s proven a trusty vessel by which he’s able to discover new sounds, connect to fellow vinyl heads and build a community around him, the kind of grassroots mission on which the very best of electronic music culture is founded. From a quirky fusion of 90s progressive house, techno, trance, breakbeat, bleep and house comes his hallmark sound, one that’s also found a home (or residency to be more precise) at Tallinn night club HALL. Building selections from an eclectic range of finds, and with a good vibe approach that puts fun and danceable rhythms to the fore is Charch’s raison d’être. This latest one pushes that vision further, upbeat and brimming with his contagious and singular energy, radically optimistic beats from the Baltic corner of the map he calls home.

Next up comes a very special set recorded live at Bassiani/Horoom’s ten year anniversary in early October. Having made common cause with the club in its infancy, longtime resident Hamatsuki (Mamuka Tskhadaia) and Morevi Records key figure Skyra (Sandro Papaskiri) are a perfect vector for the club’s vision. These two homegrown talents are legends in their own right, and well versed in their musical skill, teaming up on occasion and getting people moving to the sound of their surging beats. The community built around them and their Georgian confrères has grown exponentially since casual beginnings on the ground in Tbilisi, and the timeless mark they’ve left on the soul of the city is testament to its creative spirit. From chilled-out releases to laid back sets, the duo have an innate feeling for the other that complements and sparks surprising new ideas, downtempo house that sounds as fresh today as it did back then. For Bassiani Podcast 235, the pair flex their well-trained muscle and deliver an hour of groovy and undulating sounds, unbent rhythms for the dancing class. Tbilisi energy to the letter.
