Marenna is a project released in October 2014 by the composer and lead singer Rodrigo Marenna in solo format, parallel work with the band Lacross Rock, who is the creator and lead singer since 2007 in Caxias do Sul. In this new challenge, Marenna will explore the most of his experience in the music business leading to public his own compositions and his unique style that combines influences from the 90’s Melodic Hard Rock (AOR) and contemporary elements of sounds and arrangements. The other focus of the project is to launch the singer in an international career.

Babylon A.D. releases new live album
                 “Live@XXV” 

The new CD is being released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the band’s first release, “Babylon A.D.,” on Arista Records. Songs from all of their previous releases with Arista and Apocalypse Records are represented.

The album includes their top-ten rock-radio classic hits “Hammer Swings Down,” “Bang Go The Bells,” “Kid Goes Wild,” and “Bad Blood,” along with standouts “Shot of Love,” “Desperate,” “Sinking In The Sand,” and an angst-driven rendition of Montrose’s “Rock The Nation.” The thirteen hard-rocking tracks on “Live@XXV” showcase the high-energy, powerful live performances that Babylon A.D. is renowned for.

“Live@XXV” follows the 2014 release of the four-song E.P. “Lost Sessions/Fresno, CA 93.” 2014 also saw the band play several concert festival dates including, FIREFEST “The Final Fling” Rock Festival in Nottingham, U.K. and “Rock N’ Skull 2014” in Chicago, along with several other high-profile shows across the U.S. 

In 2015, Babylon A.D. is once again on the move with upcoming record release parties in Salt Lake City on March 20 and Las Vegas on March 21. B.A.D. have also been invited to play the very prestigious Monsters of Rock Cruise. The MORC, held April 18-22 in Nassau, The Bahamas, will feature San Francisco Bay Area favorites Y&T, Night Ranger and Tesla, along with many of the biggest bands of the late 80s and early 90s hard-rock Hair Nation genre.

Babylon A.D. will be bringing their dynamic live show to a city near you!

Quando os músicos da banda paulistana Desert Dance se reuniram no início de 2014, jamais pensaram na dicotomia em seguir paradigmas ou adotar uma postura de vanguarda para criar suas músicas. Para Junior Rodrigues (vocal), Lizzy Louiz (guitarra), Leonardo Xavier (baixo) e Nico The Boss (bateria), pouco importava se a música tendesse para o Hard Rock ou se iria levá-los para o Heavy Metal.

O nome Desert Dance veio pelo fascínio dos músicos aos mistérios da ilusão de óptica das miragens e as situações extremas que o homem pode enfrentar na natureza. No alto da desidratação, um indivíduo combalido passa por sérios comprometimentos clínicos até que o estresse e a tensão fazem com que ocorra o choque, a "dança do deserto".

Já com experiência em projetos anteriores, que incluem as bandas Electric Age e B.I.T.E., os músicos alinharam suas referências de nomes como Ratt, Winger, Slaughter, Triumph, Dokken,  Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen e Judas Priest para iniciar o processo de composição. 

O resultado veio com o EP de estreia, "Open Secrets", gravado no estúdio Mr. Som (SP) ao lado do músico e produtor De Grigo (Paradise Inc., Oitoo, Electric Age, Tierramystica, Ação Direta e outros). Já a mixagem ficou a cargo de Henrique Baboom (Jeff Scott Soto, Sioux 66, Panzer, Salário Mínimo, Screams of Hate, The Mission e outros), com masterização de Alessandro Kbral no estúdio Wstf.

Durante a promoção do EP, a banda se inscreveu no "Manifesto Rock Fest", sagrando-se campeã da décima segunda edição do evento. Na grande final, realizada em 16 de novembro, ainda conquistou prêmios individuais de 'Melhor Vocalista' e 'Melhor Guitarrista'.

When the musicians from the Brazilian band Desert Dance got together in the beginning of 2014 they never thought about the dichotomy between following patterns and adopting an avant-garde posture. For Junior Rodrigues (vocals), Lizzy Louiz (guitars), Leonardo Xavier (bass) and Nico The Boss (drums), if the music tended to Hard Rock or if it would take them to Heavy Metal, hardly mattered.

The name Desert Dance came from the musician’s fascination with the mystery of the optical delusions of the mirages and the extreme situations that man can face in nature. At the highest point of dehydration a battered person pass through serious clinical impairments until stress and tension bring shock, the "desert dance". 

Experienced from previous bands that include Electric Age and B.I.T.E, they gather their references from names like Ratt, Dokken, Winger, Slaughter, Triumph, Impellitteri, Loudness, Yngwie Malmsteen and Judas Priest to start the songwriting process. 

The result was the debut EP "Open Secrets", recorded at Mr.Som studio in São Paulo with musician and producer De Grigo (Paradise Inc., Oitoo, Electric Age, Tierramystica, Ação Direta, among others). It was mixed by Henrique Baboom (Jeff Scott Soto, Salário Mínimo, Sioux 666, Panzer, Fake Number, Screams Of Hate, The Mission, Nacionarquia, among others) and mastered by Alessandro Kabral at Wstf studios.
