Andrea Cossu is a DJ and electronic music producer based in Berlin, who studied electroacoustic
composition at the Conservatory in Cagliari and worked at AMAM Studio as a sound engineer.
His music and DJ sets are characterized by ambient and deep techno sounds. He released his debut album “Spira” on The Gods Planet label, which received praise from outfits such as Resident Advisor, Orb Mag and Monument. This was followed up with a feature on Semantica's VA compilation.

As highlighted by us in September last year, then Romanians have unwittingly formed a new blend of dance music, blending minimal techno & groove laden deep house, sewn up and exported to some of the clubbing world's hottest cities. Djs Rhadoo, Raresh and many more have helped to define a new sound amongst an overly-familiar genre - including hot export Priku. This Romanian musician and DJ shares a special 2 hour live mix with MEOKO, recorded at Bucharest's Snrs48 party, in turn delivering a live and unedited snapshot of his driving, deep and at times, subtle sound. A dynamic mix - playing with the space between notes and veering into minimal, atmospheric tapestries - Priku's focus on nuances in sound, percussive elements and thick slabs of bass running throughout shall take the MEOKO listener on a far flung, left of centre journey into a lesser known aesthetic. Divina Mundi: Tales of a dream and an acoustic reconstruction

When I enter the forbidden world, I'm frozen. I don't move, I look around. Everything seems strange to me and everything is completely different from what I am used to. I have no idea what's happening to me right now and I feel scared. This place is bursting with life and the creatures don't look like normal animals, but are much more airy and abstract. Every time I try to look at them, they disappear again, which makes it difficult to make an accurate observation. They make noises, which sound very harmonious and oscillating and have a mystical effect. The atmosphere in this place is completely filled with these benevolent sounds without being perceived as disturbing. I realize that this world is and has always been in perfect balance. In this pre- or post-human reality there is nothing that can disturb this tender and sensitive harmony. This thought is disturbing, because I know that a wrong action on my part would disturb this balance and endanger this utopian system. So I stay calm and observe everything without moving. Every object in this world is in motion and everything seems to revolve around a center point, which is too abstract to be recognized by me as such. Entropy is not present in this world. There is no intrinsic quest for disorder, because everything is perfect.

Redwan who has been a resident in Madrid since 2011, has worked closely with several media as Geometrika FM, Abysmal, Forward, XXXO, Giradiscos, Electromagnética Radio and Clubbingspain. He is currently a member of Trauma, the collective which has brought to Madrid some of the best talents of the most risky techno.

Let me tell you about Redwan. As for Redwan, his influences come from Detroit (UR) to Berlin (Basic Channel, Tresor), through Birmingham, but always with the spotlight on the new mutations that techno offers. A really nice technique in the mix that in his own words, "the only premise has been to select some techno at a very low BPM, showing how it can be so mental and deep, and making body and mind dance together."

Today we present you another guest author for our chanel. The wonderful Hekske found the right words to describe the nature based sounds by Christopher Coe. Enjoy the journey!

A few days ago I rode with my bicycle through the green countryside of Flanders when at one moment I witnessed a spectacle which was so beautiful that I stopped to have a closer look. In the meadow next to me I saw a beautiful horse and her foal, who appeared to be only a few days old, yet already moving around with an amazing natural elegance. Actually, I really love horses as they are approachable, while at the same time they remain pretty wild animals. When I stopped my bike, the horses noticed me and came closer. Not close enough to touch them but close enough to look into the eyes of the mare. They made me think of little crystal balls… a fascinating peek into the peerless depths of a parallel universe which cannot be reached by humans.
When I was standing there, my thoughts drifted away to a behavioral study about horses by the university of Leuven, which I had read a few weeks earlier. It was a study about horse shelters. Self-proclaimed animal lovers always seem to think that horses should not stay outside all the time but need a shelter. But so far nobody has asked the opinion of the horses themselves and not much research had been done about this subject. So the scientists decided to observe a great number of horses for several years at different locations. And the conclusion? It appears horses don’t mind a bit of rain and often prefer to stay outside when it rains. Same for windy days. Same for cold days. And quite a few horses prefer to sleep under the stars, like real wild animals. On sunny days they have a slight preference to stay in the shadow, but they clearly prefer to stay in the place with the least insects, which very often turns out to be the shelter… So it’s useful after all.

This deep story from Christopher Coe captures this equine energy very well. Connecting with mother earth and the four winds. Running freely and elegantly across the rolling hills, through the rain, mist and sun like a wild creature. And resting at night under the stars, connecting with the universe.
