The French brothers who form the duo Esoteric Circle (@esotericircle) put together five original masterpieces to create the fourth EP of Infinite Depth. Combined with a remix by the very popular Dutch producer VNTM (@vntmofficial), the pretty dark, minimal and melodic ‘ID004: Romance EP’ is a fact. 

The EP starts off with the title track called ‘Romance’. This minimal and dark track immediately brings a lot of tension and sets the wave in motion on which you will float through this EP. A wave with high peaks and frightening deep ends. 

The second destination of this wave is the remix of ‘Romance’ by VNTM. He managed to surround the main perc of the original by his recently created own sound. A sound which consists of crispy, distorted and heavy techno synths. 

At the third track ‘Persona’ the tempo goes a little bit down, but the big and pounding kick which is defining for Esoteric Circle’s sound, keeps on going. This time accompanied by a more harmonic and catchy, but still mysterious melody. 

With ‘Maelstrom’ the EP goes back to its minimal and deepest end. Two sinister main synths are dragging you down to this end and will release you at the moment the pounding kicks are taking over again. 
At the second-last track ‘Doomsday’ some peak melodies are coming back. The track is describing itself as being one the most badass tracks of the EP. As the EP did not have enough strength yet, ‘Doomsday’ is adding some more power to reach the highest peak of the wave you are floating on. 

As the last track of the EP, ‘Tides of Love’ makes sure you will end up with a calm and peaceful feeling about this selection of tracks, just as the wave reaching the shore gently.

Romance EP

Esoteric Circle - Doomsday (Original Mix)

The talented Hungarian producer Justrice (@justrice) is the one who brings you the originals of the eight EP of Infinite Depth. Three pretty minimal and dark tracks with strange sounds and an eye for detail. For the remix, the title track ‘Relic’ got an obscure techno touch of Altman (@altmanlive).

The first track of the EP is called ‘Camouflage’. In this track the strange sounds mentioned before are already obviously present. It’s a high tension track which works towards one moment. At this moment the tension has risen till its highest point and immediate falls down unexpectedly, creating an incomprehensible flash. 

The title track ‘Relic’ is a dark piece of art. The horrifying lead combined with the detailed background sounds, are making the track one of the darkest on the label. At the moment you thought you heard everything, some percussion joins to lift the track to its peak.

The Altman remix of ‘Relic’ is a more playful, but still very obscure, techno remix. He brought the horrifying lead a little bit more to the background and added a catchy synth, which makes the track a lot more flowing, but still with a really heavy drop.

The closing track of the EP, called ‘Stallion’, could be seen as the most complicated track of the EP. Justrice is taking the meaning of weird sounds to the a next level and even managed to add unexpected groove in the track.

Nuklear starts from a minimal point and journeys through dark and twisted passages of tense synth rises and processed drum textures, relying only on the complex relationship of the few instruments at play, to reach a high of epic grandeur. While Nuklear builds up with layers of explosive drums and flurries of erratic stabs, it all gravitates around a singular driving bassline, an addictive pulse that grounds the chaos around it. Like the unpredictable potential energy of electrons orbiting a nucleus, this parallels the human experience, an existence filled with unpredictability and chaos hinging on a singular truth. On remix duties, we are proud to have on board another of Beirut’s finests, capturing our attention after his Ballroom Blitz Boiler Room. Rolbac, a virtuoso in the underground house and techno Lebanese scene, has emerged as a magnetic force reputed for his colossal sound. Rolbac operates with the methodical precision of the automated devices beneath his fingers; devices he unscrupulously manipulates to behave as he desires. With this offering, his meticulous production takes an ethereal sonic direction transfused with the four-on-the-floor signature. Sounds can come from anywhere, building layers and layers of really well crafted sound design. It’s pure psychedelic acid filled techno!

Artist bio: 

A composer and producer with diverse musical affinities within the realm of Electronic music, Etyen has, since his debut in 2013, released 5 solo EPs and a number of singles, remixes and collaborations, with a diverse but consistently unique sound, from Cinematic and Downtempo to minimal Electronica and Techno. He has been a key member in the modern Lebanese music scene with a unique sound and an eclectic catalogue that saw him tour and perform at the likes of RBMA Montreal Festival, Sonar Barcelona, Mutek, and many more over the last 7 years."
