Sleepsinger is a side project of the American multi-instrumentalist and composer Ron Perovich. The project was started in 2009 to explore music for meditation and relaxation, especially with the Native American style block flute and other wind instruments. Perovich plays all instruments heard on the album; including Turkish Ney, Armenian Duduk, Japanese Shakuhachi, Persian Kamancheh, guitar, percussion and keyboards. Perovich himself is not of Native American descent, the NAF is just one of the instruments he enjoys playing and that he chose to record on this album.
