Offering energetic anthems and soulful bops, this upcoming project from YUNG Citizen titled The Morning Pages is full of honesty and vulnerability recoiled around YUNG’s mental health and him seeking guidance through God, therapy, and self-reflection. Tracks such as “CROSS THE T”sets the tone for the confidence and introspection weaved throughout the entire project.  “FORTUNE COOKIE” dives into YUNG's affirmations about healing, confidence and love. The catchy melody aligns perfectly with YUNG’s eloquent raps as he expresses the gratification of overcoming mistakes and learning to forgive and love again. The three song EP ends with “MORNING PAGES”, featuring Curt Keyz, which speaks to the overcoming and healing of YUNG’s past traumas and trials. Love Songs & Lullabies

Emily Sage is a Charlotte-based, Independent Singer/Songwriter with strong leanings in jazz and soul. Her romantic and lullaby-like songwriting style is largely influenced by her time spent growing up in Portugal.

Emily Sage moved to Nashville, TN in 2012 to study Songwriting and Music Business at Belmont University. Looking for a space to build her career and develop her vision post-graduation, Emily Sage moved to Charlotte, NC. In the summer of 2018 she started an intimate concert series called CLT Loft Sessions so that she could curate the full experience of her live performances. She invited local independent artists to perform their own sets at those concerts as well. After the first Loft Session, every event since has sold out and her name as well as Loft Sessions is gaining recognition in Charlotte and surrounding cities.

Emily has been asked to perform at many concert events in Charlotte such as Sofar Sounds, the Charlotte Women’s March, US National Whitewater Center, The Jazz Room, and the Knight Theatre. Emily’s music has also been featured on NPR’s Here & Now, WFAE’s Amplifier, DEF | CLT, and the Queen City Nerve. In QC Nerve’s “Best in The Nest,” Emily Sage was named Critic’s Pick Best Singer/Songwriter of 2019. 

Her debut single, “Nearer To You,” was released in March of 2019 and is available on all digital streaming platforms. The song was co-produced by Dylan Byrnes and Grammy-award winning producer and songwriter Swagg R’Cellious. Emily Sage is currently in the studio working on new solo music with her producers as well as some collaborations with Emmy Award-winning composer and producer, Jason Hausman, with an expected 2020 release.
