These are some of the songs of which I'm proudest. I guess I write pretty emotional stuff, really, and often songs come to me fully formed in a dream or in a single moment. It's weird being an artist, but it's also very rewarding when you create things you actually enjoy. 

I believe in opening up my artistic process to scrutiny. The way songs and pieces are arrived at is as interesting as the art itself, and I find the super-produced slickness of studio recordings sometimes overwhelming and dehumanizing. Some of my favourite artists change lyrics during shows and re-arrange how they play songs all the time, and I treat the recording process somewhat the same, turning it into a *record* of what a song was like at a particular moment.

After 5 decades of making his personal brand of dirty lounge music, legendary lounge lizard and bad boy Vince Martini is 80 years old and living in an assisted living facility. Producer Michael Salamone has spent the last several years recording Martini and his surviving band-mates to help them fulfill the one dream they never attained. However, the result is an album full of ten songs that nobody should ever listen to, especially women and children. 30 years in the making. Not safe for work. Not safe for anyone.

I love collecting and telling stories. People tell me I have a good voice for radio. This is my first attempt to merge these two skills and share the results.
