Lisa-Dawn Sheridan, (born December 11), known by her stage name, The Flower Child, is an American author/singer/songwriter/guitarist. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California she primarily studied at Laurel Hall Lutheran Private Elementary (music, dance, athletics), Centre for Modern Dance of Las Vegas (ballet, modern, hip/hop), and vocal instruction with the Seth Riggs Method with the well-known vocal instructor Jackie Collins. Jackie was personally trained on vocal instruction by the voice master Seth Riggs (Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey). Lisa-Dawn's musical/dance training began at the early age of eight, with performances for many hundreds by the age of thirteen. Her early musical training included vocals, strings, and horns. At the young age of 12, she was awarded a prestigious contract to attend The Barbizon School of Modeling/Las Vegas Models and Talent. Upon graduating she was teaching and conducting her own runway workshops, where many of her students went on to be successful runway models. This was all prior to landing the Famous Las Vegas, Tropicana Hotel, Follies Bergere. Lisa-Dawn juggled the daytime job of runway model and by night she danced as a show modele (Showgirl), for over 7 years. The Follies Bergere is and was the longest running full production show on the Las Vegas Strip, for over 50 years until it’s closing in 2010. Lisa-Dawn  has been featured on national television and publication spots such as The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, E Channel's Entertainment Tonight exclusive interview, front page of Living Section in The New York Times, The Montel Williams Show opening act, and cover of The Las Vegan Magazine.

In 2011, Lisa-Dawn embarked on the dream of becoming a health and wellness author. With a successful background in owning numerous holistic medical clinics, creating the popular blog came easy to her. At the continued urging of her previous medical patients and some very close friends, in 2010, Lisa-Dawn bravely authored, Flower Child’s: The 8-Steps to INNER-Beauty—The Authoritative Holistic Survival Guide, now in it's third revision (www.lulu.com/spotlight/8steps). 

Her media, created to inform and educate on human rights as well as the ability to pursue one's highest dreams, Lisa-Dawn has been an instrument in continually inspiring others. Opening for Peace-Frog (2012), and featured in several video documentaries on human rights, The Flower Child has been seen from the Famous Venice Beach Boardwalk to the top dance production stages of Las Vegas. Recently she has appeared as a soloist with her brand new jazz and gospel originals. In late 2012,  Lisa-Dawn wrote, composed and performed her first song, “Come Closer”. Rolling into 2013 the inspirational. has continued as she wrote, composed and performed, “I Am Here, I Pray, You Are, When I Think About You, and What Doesn't Kill You". Complete with a 30 song, “show-ready” repertoire which includes many contemporary conversions, jazz standards, and gospel originals, Lisa-Dawn is ready to lift hearts, souls, and lives with her gift of music.
