Overview Podcast S2E10

We decided to invite Sequent to our second Blu Saphir Studio Mix session. She became a stable member of the label with several EP`s releases alongside Skruff including her own tune entitled "Mindset".

Currently she is working mostly on her own productions but also on a new project with M:Pathy and studies also at the Overview Music Mentorship Program. 

You can expect some new music of her on Blu Saphir in the near future.

She takes also part of a viennese female dj collective named AMI|KAL with Aras, Jalen Mess and Sarah Allen.

Incoming with an hour and half of mid week Atmospheric bliss is Electra!

Electra has been DJing on the Cardiff underground circuit since 2019, playing sets spanning a wide spectrum of bpm's, from UK garage and breaks through to hardcore, jungle, footwork and drum and bass. She is a resident DJ for the renowned Cardiff brand Concrete Junglists, having most recently played at their sold out collaboration event with OTB in Bristol, supporting Mickey Finn. She has established herself as a main player in Cardiff, having played at the most recent Metalheadz and Function:al events in the City.  

As well as being a club DJ, she has held numerous radio residencies with Life.Fm, Dub Frequency and Goat Shed.

It was a history of drum and bass special at the legendary Marcus Garvey Centre venue in Nottingham, UK. I played a set representing the 90's logical progression sound and had an amazing time. This is logical, this is a progression... The original and still one of the best sets around, LTJ's about to touch down. After much confusion I finally found the original 1996 version of LTJ's seminal Logical Progression 2 CD release. This is the mixed set (CD-B). Intelligent DnB at its finest. I've been looking for this set for a long time but have never been able to find it online, only the 2001 re-released version where the mixed CD was replaced with the 'Ministry of Sound Half A Decade Of Dance' 96 live set and different tracks on the un-mixed CD. I brought a 2nd hand copy from Discogs.com. I will do a mix using the tracks on the unmixed CD (CD-A) when I get some time.

No infringement of copyright is intended, I'm assuming it's ok to make this available to download as it's not possible to buy this new anymore. If there is a problem with copyright let me know and I'll remove it.

Astral Plane Recordings is set to release its very first LP project this month, tapping label mainstay SHALT for the inaugural project.

The new album, titled ‘Seraphim’, will be SHALT’s debut full-length and has been described as, “a mini-epic that unfolds over six intricately arranged, brilliantly coloured acts.”

In conceptual, uncompromising SHALT style, ‘Seraphim’ skims the bleeding edge of technological and natural explorations. With SHALT able to fully stretch his bright, abstract ideas throughout the LP format, the new project is an exciting and long-awaited release from the London producer.
