iDaly Maceano discovered her love for music at age four, later writing her first rap verse at age ten. With musical influences like Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, TLC and Destiny’s Child, iDaly immersed herself in the world of music and strived to eventually make a career of it. As a teenager, she spent most of her time playing clarinet, learning composed music, performing in the church choir, and by age fifteen, she’d recorded her first song as a contestant for an energy drink brand.
During her tenure at University of Alabama, iDaly studied Theatre and Psychology. She acted in UAB’s 10-minute plays landing her first main-stage performance in 2010. The production of “We Three” written by Paul Shoulberg and directed by Dennis Mclearnon took her further from her small role as Jessie, a troubled thirteen year old, to her lead performance in the KCACTF regional festival.
iDaly has now focused her career on developing her unique identity in the music industry. While she has an immense vision for her career and will continue to spread her eccentric and artistic vision in the music & Hip Hop arena, she has created a platform that has already proven itself to be promising. iDaly hopes to continue to love the expressive nature of music and inspire those who aspire to follow in her footsteps.
