Z Frequency is a genre-blending band that defies musical boundaries, mixing rock, reggae, ska, and alternative into a one-of-a-kind sound. Our story begins with Zak Davis, inspired by Oingo Boingo and Danny Elfman’s iconic vocals. Since teaming up with Matt Allen in the ’90s, we’ve been crafting music through projects like Catfische and Hoo Ray Who?, leaving our mark on the Utah music scene.  

Z Frequency emerged from Zak’s vision, evolving into a band backed by talented musicians and fresh collaborations on every track. L-Town Magazine calls us "a kaleidoscope of sound that transcends boundaries"—a description we wear proudly.  

Outside the band, Zak and Matt host the ZHZ Podcast, where they spotlight DIY artists and share insights into the music-making journey.
